Ksenio_O and a few others, good to see you over here!

zeta054 , thanks for creating the thread.

I was going to submit mine end of June as that was my earliest but looking the the average time for the biometrics appointment and me being out of the US during the 1st part of Aug, I did not want to chance getting an appointment while I was away.

Package is all ready to go and I just want to get it out of my house as the more I look at it and this forum , I start to stress out all over again. :-)

To confirm, the package needs (or should be )to sent by USPS as it is a PO BOX and couriers don't do PO Box, correct?  And I can track via My USPS.

Do I need to ask for a signature?

Good luck to all and thanks!

That was my situation as well. My window opened up at the end of May but we were away for a month and I didn't want to risk it. I sent it within 10 minutes of getting back home though and it did feel sooo good to finally have that package out of my house!!

It was my understanding from the other threads I've read that it has to be USPS and that I should not ask for a signature since it is a P.O. Box. I did send it insured Priority Mail with tracking which from what I've read seems to be the right way to go. I remember someone saying somewhere that you could send by courier but that you needed to locate the physical address seeing as they can't courier to to a P.O. I didn't want to chance that as the I-751 instructions page only mentions the box address so I figured better to just follow their instructions explicitly.

Note that on the Google Spreadsheet there are actually two pages.  Look at the bottom:  CSC and VSC.

This is not easily noticeable, so one member has already posted under wrong service center.

Probably best to post under the applicable service center because, as has been the past experience, the VSC is much, much, much slower than the CSC.

By having all the CSC on one sheet and VSC on a separate sheet, we will be comparing our individual progresses with relevant others, not with those who are being processed much faster or slower.

Thanks for the information, I didn't see that. I did the modification!

I was just wondering why I was the only one at VSC ^^

And yes, no PO BOX for VSC and a slower process... arghhh!

Well, VSC is used to be  "much much slower" any more. But according to USCIS processing timeline - not anymore. And I would say CSC is slowing down now, unfortunately..

Here is the google docs for July filers.

Please note there are 2 pages....page 1 for the Vermont Service Center (VSC) and the 2nd page is for the California Service Center (CSC).  Be sure to post your data on the correct page.  And be sure you send you package to the correct service center...some have not which leads to further delays.

Also, can a biometric appt be changed?  I was just looking at past dates and I am now guessing we could be scheduled for a biometric appt while we are away.....dang!

I asked that same question and was told that you can reschedule but it could delay your overall processing time by several months. But from what I understood it wouldn't be a "problem", as long as you don't mind waiting a couple extra months to get your new GC. I was going to go ahead and do that too as we were away for a month, but my issue was that we had nobody to check on our mail for us while we were gone so I put a hold on the mail with the post office and therefore wouldn't have even known if I got a date in the mail that would need to be rescheduled. So I just waited to file until we got back this week.

Good point that I didn't consider....getting the mail while we are gone and getting it rescheduled, luckily we'll get our notice prior to leaving.  We plan on being out a week at a time during August/September which could affect their schedule appt time.  As usual, I'm left crossing my fingers and all will be okay.

As far a waiting for the process to be over, I'm in no rush in receiving the new gc.  Heck, what's a few months on 12-18?
