Hi,

we received NOA1 today!! but there is a detail I'd like to share with you (maybe it's silly, but bare with me) and hopefully get some feedback:

As an example (not real names just example), my maiden name Maria Idalia Rosales Hernandez. I have two last names because in Mexico we use one from father and one from mother. So Rosales from my father and Hernandez from my mother. My husband's full name is Eric Roberts. In the cover letter my husband added a paragraph saying "Please update my wife's last name to married last name as Maria Idalia Rosales-Roberts. We received the NOA1 addressed to M. Rosales Roberts (note there is no "-") then in Petitioner name says "Maria I. Rosales Roberts" (again no "-"). I wanted to have just one last name that included my two last names together separated by a "-". Is Rosales Roberts the same as Rosales-Roberts?

I went for my biometrics appt today....a week early.

I was grilled by IO at security and they were pleasant none the least.  Of course I put on my happy face!   Wonder if they get bonuses for being like this?  However, I did get seen and it's done!  On the other hand, the workers inside were more pleasant and the gal who did my tests seemed unfamiliar with the I-751.  This seemed weird to me, so I explained it.

It didn't seem like arriving early for a Biometrics appt was a common occurrence, fyi.

This is why I'm totally good with waiting for my appointment instead of walking in early, and why I would have rescheduled if I'd been away rather than trying to do a walk-in. I know it works for some people, but I'm the type that embarrasses way too easily and when someone makes me feel like I'm in trouble or have done something wrong I get so upset! Haha. I'm glad you stuck to your guns and were seen!

I totally get you.  I figured if they turn me away I just have to cancel the vacay one more day which would hurt but I'd really have no choice.

I dislike rude, boastful and arrogant people and usually I have no time for them....but in this case, because of the place I was in, I allowed it since I needed the gain.

Our biometrics letter arrived today, July 29 with the appointment set for August 7.  We've updated the spreadsheet.  This would be 15 days since the date on NOA 1.  Since we are traveling on August 2, we're going to try a walk-in on Monday.  Good luck everyone.

Hello.  After I started this thread, I found out someone else did also.  Search for the other July ROC 2017 thread and post there.

PA folks supposed to file in Vermont.  Why you sent to California?

From USCIS website:

Applicants must file Form I-751 at the USCIS California Service Center or the USCIS Vermont Service Center, depending on where they live.

This says nothing about where your attorney lives.

Appointment: 8/10

Yayyyy!!!!!! Congrats. Still waiting here for our NOA1...more than one week since they received our documents but we do have a fee waiver request so thinking that it may take a bit longer as they must approve that first than on to the I-751.

This says nothing about where your attorney lives.

Our attorneys are located in California. We had special circumstances during the K1 process and they appeared to be the best in resolving our challenges. We've stayed with them since.

So far we have a total of 44 filers on our spreadsheet.  29 CSC and 15 on VSC

Is this spreadsheet accessible publicly so we can also see the service center responses and make comparisons?
