This just in....

Case transfer to Texas.

Looks like CSC is still shipping them out.

My question is....why are cases after mine, getting transfer dates and notices before me?  Like, aren't these applications supposed to follow a date protocol?

Congrats! Did this come via email notification?  I don't really check the uscis sites as both says the same dang thing "no further activity needed " or whatever it is to say we have done squat since we have received your application. Plus 1 of the sites, you have to log in fairly often or your account goes inactive.. no time to log in just to see 'nothing further done'.

Question:
After the "New Card is Being Produced" status, what should come next?
I checked the number before me who's received the same status as me last Friday, checked it again today and now, theirs says "Case Was Approved".

Shouldn't "Case Was Approved" come before "New Card is Being Produced"?
I am so confused, paranoid and worried, that I just got an error message or something, and they are actually still processing my case 😭😭😭
HELP!!

Somewhat off topic, but just to keep the free flow of information going, I am WAC17290 and have not had any movement on my file since the infamous February 26, 2018, "Case Was Received At My Local Office" update. Have not filed for the N400 and have not made any inquiries into my case. Here's hoping CSC gets some movement akin to what VSC and others have been seeing!

LOL, I got my DL renewed for 8 years too. I just went up to the lady in the window and she didn't ask me for anything....

This is giving me hope (lots of it) hahahah 😂

Good luck and I hope to hear good news from you soon!

I think it's good news for you too. My experience with my DL that I got renewed 2 weeks ago is a bit different. They gave me only until the 18 month extension letter date. So I think getting a 8 year DL is good news. I bet you'll get approved soon :)

It can vary from State to State,.. well, very often even two DMVs in the same State can operate differently.

I was granted a "regular" , valid for 7 years DL , when I applied for a renewal with my conditional green card in 2016. My son - the same, just for 4 years since he was under 21.

At the same time my friend, who lives in the same State, just in a different town, was able to get her DL for limited period of time,  in accordance with her immigration paperwork - till conditional green card expiration  date, then till her Ext.letter exp. date and so on. Until she got her 10 years card.

So who knows how DMVs are really ruled.... Should be by State, but it does not look like :)

Anyway, guys, I wish you all soon approval!!!!

QUESTION:  My wife needs to get the stamp to extend the expiration of her green card.  (The Social Security office won't accept the extension letter for purposes of removing the restriction on her SS card.)  Our "local office" (where her case was transferred to last March) is in San Antonio, TX, but there aren't any Infopass appointments available for over 2 weeks, and we need the stamp quickly.  Another USCIS field office, over 300 miles away, has an appointment available on this Thursday.  Will that field office be able to give my wife her extension stamp, or does it need to be the local office here in San Antonio?

No updates, just a letter in the mail.  After I received the notice, I went on line and saw the notice of case being transferred.  Think their system is glitchy. Either way, its just a waiting game.  Its okay...I've got the time. :)

I think any Info Pass location can see you with an appointment. Some have allowed people to do walk in too, so you could check to see if you can do that before taking a road trip.

I got my I-551 stamp yesterday at the Norfolk Office. The guy at the window was the one who stamped and embossed my passport. He returned my greencard as well.
