Looks like! I have read stories where people would not get a letter stating that the i-751 is combined but the officer asked where is the spouse. If you don't hear anything about your ROC before your interview, just take your spouse with you. You never know 🙂

Yes, I will prepare for the two interviews then. Thank you!

Good luck to you too!  I was very excited and am hopeful we hear something soon.  But yay for 8 years!!

I can only be happy for next 2 years because in 2020 I need the 'real id' if I want to use it to travel. Hopefully by then, I can have things sorted out. 🙂

Genius!!!! Alright my people lets everyone go to DMV to see if our cases were already approved lol.

I’m an August filer. I went to DMV last week and they renewed my driver license just for 18 months after she spent long time to understand the extension letter and asking everyone around her what does extension letter means lol

West Virginia wont give you anything until you have he actual hard card.  My wife's state ID ran out last October and she has been using her US Navy retired ID card to cash her pay checks and her Philippine passport for international travel.  This morning I made an appointment in Pittsburgh, PA to get the stamp in her passport.  The appointment is October 15th (her birthday) and her green card extension letter expires on October 24.

July 25, 2017 filer, Vermont, Pittsburgh office, only 24 days left and we are still waiting

July filer here.  Has anyone had any difficulties with employers in relying on the I-751 receipt notice or the 18-month extension letter in establishing the right to work in the US when accepting an employment offer?  My wife's conditional green card expired in September 2017, but we have the letter extending the expiration for 18 months.  She just accepted a job offer, and they will want proof of right to work in the US on her first day.  There shouldn't be any problems, but has anyone had any difficulties with employers?

No. I think in the last 4 years I have changed my job 3 times. I never disclosed this type of information until I was hired. For my current job, my HR called me in recently (since my gc expired) asking about my status and I gave her the letter. She just made a photocopy and put it in with my file. They can ask but you have all the necessary documents. 🙂

My wife didn't disclose this detail in the application process, except to check the box on the application stating that she has the legal right to work in the US.  Now that she has accepted the job offer, I'm a bit worried that they may have a concern about the 18-month extension letter when she starts the job.  (Maybe we're being paranoid.)  I was wondering if anyone has been in this situation.

If she has unrestricted SS card, then ss #+ Driver License should be enough to comply with I-9 and no need to worry about presenting an Ext.Letter

Same here, I would tell them at the end 😁 Nothing to worry about, trust me!!  Tell your wife if they ask, to let them know status is valid but you are waiting for the physical GC. That's it. And congrats on the new job!

Some companies are weird. I have the unrestricted SS and they still wanted copy of my stuff. 😞

QUESTION:  My wife got her Social Security card after she filed for adjustment of status, but before she got her green card.  Thus, her Social Security card has the restriction, "VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION" printed on it.  She received her conditional green card in September 2015 (expiration in September 2017), but we neglected to get her a new Social Security card without the restriction.

We filed her I-751 in July 2017, and we're still waiting.  Her original receipt notice extended the green card date to September 2018, and she just received the 18-month extension letter, so her green card expiration is extended to February 2019, based on the latest letter.

My wife is starting a new job in 3 weeks, and we just realized that she still has her restricted Social Security card.  My question is, if we visit the Social Security Administration office with her green card and the extension letters, will they issue her an unrestricted Social Security card?  Thanks.

I hope that aorich is right and that you have no problem.  We are your same situation as LykaMac and so we called Social Security, and they said that since our GC has expired that we have to wait for the 10 year card.   We explained that we have an extension letter but it did not seem to matter.   We did not push it since it was not urgent that we get a new social security card.    It is possible that in person and with the extension letter in hand that you will have better luck.   Our credit union recently told us that a social security card with this "VALID FOR WORK ONLY...." on it prevents us from getting my spouse a credit card (although I have super good credit).
