Hello everyone! So I am a VSC filler who has been larking on this page without participating for a few months now. However, I got some good news today and wanted to share with everyone.  On (9/24/2018) my online case status finally changed to "New Card is Being Produced". I got an email and an update on the case tracking app. Below is my timeline:

- First NOA was on July, 5th 2017. I cant recall the exact biometrics date but it was in September, 2017.

- Online status changed to "Revived at Local office " on April, 9th 2017. However, as we all know that was not true and my case was at the Vermont Center all along. And I know that for a fact because I changed my address 2 weeks ago and the letter acknowledging the address change came directly from the Vermont center.

- September 24th 2018 I received an email and an update on the tracking app stating "New Card is Being Produced".

1 year and almost 3 months after the wait is finally over. And by the way guys,  we really thought we were getting a RFE letter for sure because we sent barley anything compared to the list of things I have read people send. Good luck everyone! Try not to panic..your approval will come soon.

Congratulations and Thanks so much for sharing. 💪🏼

Question exclusively for the people who have been approved for I-751 AND applied for N-400 before the I-751 approval:

did they approve both at the same time I-(751 and N-400) after interview? Or did they  just approved I-751?

If u go for an interview, u get approved for the citizenship. They ask a couple questions like are u still married ? How did u meet? And then they do the n400 interview and done! U don’t need a green card anymore.

do you mean, if you go to the I751 interview, they approve you there for the N400?

They normally do a combo interview for both I-751 & N400. So if they approve your I-751 interview, then you get to do that N400 interivew. If you pass the test, then your N400 will be approved.

Sorry for not explaining myself. I saw a few I-751 approvals without interview (“your card is being produced”). I want to know if those people applied for N-400 or not?

Can only speak for myself. I applied for N400 in June 2018 and still haven't heard anything other than my case was transferred to my local office last August. I did not receive the new extension letter as well. My extension letter expires today.

Not necessarily.  That would be a very long distance for some.  I highly doubt USCIS would make people travel, hotel, etc just for an interview that is not in their hometown OR state.  More like, your case is cut and dry therefore easy to transfer and they can spend more time going over the more complex ones.

I read that they shipped a bunch to Texas some time ago.  I didn't realize they were still doing it.....well, that is, maybe it takes some time to put plans into action and hence why it took so long for us to see the major transfers take place.

What hotel are you talking about? Interviews are always done at your local field offices, whenever you send documents to California and you get an interview it's still scheduled at your field office.

I applied N400 too. My interview is in 2 weeks. Very likely they are going to do a combo interview. I am hoping they will approve I751 right before the interview. lol

Mine just says " receive at local office "

EAC 17315. There's nothing in case history except the change of address.  And in the next step " we will prepare your case for officer review "
