Hi guys,

I just received my NOA-1 today from VSC.

I tried to add my receipt number on the USCIS website (my case status at https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do) but it tell me it doesn't exist... for the ones who do that, can you access to your case status?

We tried to do that on our approval as well.  It appears you have to wait until you receive your biometrics appointment letter first and the number you use will be the one posted there.

I am sure that is plenty.  I believe the tax forms and anything else with both of your names listed will suffice.

I-485 and I-751 - two different processes, and different  things are requested.  During ROC they actually want to see the statements for the entire time of your marriage. Or at least since a green card received...

but anyway - it's been already sent.

Good luck with your immigration journey!!!

Hmmm rather than two full years of bank statements, I sent the first one where I was added to the account, a couple randomly selected, and the most recent. I did this for our bank, credit card, and cell phone plan....

My wife expires by the end of the month as well. We sent the packet on 7/12 and was received on 7/13, the check was cash 7/18. Now we're waiting for NOA on the mail so she can go and renew her driver license. For citizenship we already said that we gonna do it as soon the 90 days windows opens, since she want to file a petition for he parents to come in to USA as residents.

The activity is what makes it worthwhile evidence, not just having an account, so I believe along with other strong evidence you submitted you should be fine since you presented bank/credit cards activities from the 'beginning"  to present days.

But of course, it all will dependent on a IO who will review the case.

Some people don't even keep their assets together, and still successfully made it though, during ROC. So, who knows how it really works ;)

Good luck to all of us!! :)

That is their prerogative, as it was mine to use one.

From beginning (I-485, etc) to present, the only thing that has tarnished this experience has been the firm my husband and I hired.

That being said, yes.. if we could go back, I doubt we would use one. But I'm an absolute nervous wreck, and it's better safe than sorry.

For the first time I 485 and I 130, I hired a lawyer, then I saw how easy it was so I decided to do it myself this time, the I 751.

Do they charged you a lot? Mine charged us $2,500 for the I-485 I-130. Now for the I-751 we decided to do it in our own.

I hope it all works out for you! Good luck. 🙂

I'm sure I had the ability to do it myself, but I didn't want to take the chance.

They absolutely did. The first time (I-485, I-130) it was close to $6500 including uscis fee. This last go around (I-751), it was $2400 including uscis fee.

Considering all the issues we had with the firm, we definitely got ripped off. Live and learn, I suppose.
