That's actually pretty fast considering the fact that you did both! What documents did you send with N400 if you dont mind me asking?

Great question. What are we suppose to include for the n400 as additional evidence ?

If you apply online, there will be guidelines on what documents you should upload to support your application. Like MHZ has mentioned, they are pretty similar to the ones used for I751, just more recent and updated.

I think this pretty much has something to do with which particular local office that processes the application, some are faster than the others.  And even with the same local office, each case is different. With NYC, I was actually surprised that the estimated waiting time for N400 is 10 months right now.

Hi All-

I'm a CSC filer (NOA was 7.26.17) and I've just got a letter telling me to come to my local office (Chicago) for an interview for i-751 on 9.25 (it was mailed on 9.6 but we had a mail-hold while on vacation) - the letter tells me to bring my husband and proof of the bona fide of our marriage.  Neither of my online accounts (my.uscis and egov.uscis) have the letter listed or status updated - one is showing my address change from April 2018 and one is showing the 'moved to local office' from back in Feb 18.  All very odd.

Anyway, rather than stressing out about it, I've decided to be happy that something is moving on my case!

In case it's relevant - I have also filed for my N-400 already, so I've added the extra pieces of evidence that I gathered for that (2017 tax return, mortgage), to the pack that I originally prepared and will take them along on 9.25.

Has anyone else been for interview?  If so, I'd love to hear how it went, what to expect etc.  I'm assuming that we should ask my MIL to watch our daughter, rather than bring a rambunctious 15-month old along?

Thanks all in advance!

AOS Journey

3.25 Pack sent to Chicago Lockbox (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131) by Overnight FedEx

3.26 Pack arrived at Chicago Lockbox

3.31 Email and texts arrived saying case was received, receipt # allocated, all MSC numbers

4.6 NOIs received by mail

4.17 Letter with biometrics appointment date received

4.21 Walked in early to ASC for biometrics appointment (original date was 4.27) and was seen

6.16 Put in request with service center as EAD over 75 days

6.17 Called State Senator's office and asked for their help with chasing USCIS for the EAD

6.18 Status updated saying EAD card being shipped

6.19 EAD arrived

6.28 i-485 status updated to "Ready for Interview"

9.27 Interview attended

10.05 Green card received

ROC Journey

*realizes that ROC window opens 24 days after I'm due to give birth to first child, panics, and starts to figure out the prep now, even through it's January and 5 months early*

@dizzykjk I presume you didn't file for your N-400 as your interview letter state that you bring your spouse along. But all things considered, this is great considering that there is traction in your case. Take proofs of everything ( utility,rent/mortgage/,bank statements, health insurance,auto/home insurance, jointly filed tax returns) since you submitted your original application to the interview. TBH, it is not a bad idea to take your child with you. IMO, there isn't a better proof of a legitimate marriage, than having children.

Hello my July 2017 friends,

Today I received mail from USCIS.  It was a relatively thick letter.  Once opened I realized what it was.....it contained:

a) was my new extension letter (that is redundant now as I got the stamp in July) but....addressed in my name, city and zip code.  NO STREET ADDRESS/PO BOX

b) the original mailing envelope which obviously  arrived somewhere and looks like USPS attached a computer print out sticker (coded) and labelled Return to Sender **Insufficent Address.  USCIS opened it rather neatly, unfolded it and attached it to my new 2 page I797 NOA form

c) USCIS letter re: change of address letter and

d) Change of address form  AR-11

Clearly whoever received the return to sender mail did not catch the misprint on the mailing address (which left out the street address and PO Box) and sent me the change of address form.  I DID NOT MOVE.

I am unsure what to do.

All prior correspondence from USCIS has arrived safely to our PO Box.  I have never been questioned on using a PO BOX before. We have listed our physical address on all applications but indicated preference as PO BOX.

My questions:

1.  Do I send USCIS the form back completing it with the same info?  ***note: the form states No PO Boxes

2.  Do I ignore it this form?

3.  Do I call them to inquire about what to do?

USCIS
30 Jan 2014 - Sent I-130
03 Feb 2014- NOA1

10 months of bologna, we cannot believe this, nor will you if you knew
02 Dec 2014- NOA2

NVC
30-Dec 2014 case received
10-Feb 2015 case and iin # assigned
10-Feb 2015 completed ds 261
11-Feb 2015 paid AOS fee
11-Feb 2015 welcome letter rec'd
15-Feb 2015 emailed AOS & IV package info
19-Feb 2015 paid IV fee
23-Feb 2015 submitted ds260

I would call USCIS and ask for Tier 2 officer. Let them know the story, ask them what address they have on file and ask them what to do. I think its best to talk to a human first before sending out anything. Just my opinion. :)

Hi there,

I wish you all the best in your interview, please keep us updated on what happens. I am also a CSC filer and my local office is Chicago, so would love to know if this will come to all of us in the Chicago office.

Thanks
