AlluringSoul,

Yes, I did, on August 5. I wonder if my N-400 application sped up the ROC. I see that you are from NYC too! My local office is Brooklyn. Right now the estimated waiting time for my N-400 is 10 months.

Congrts!! Our P.D is Aug 9th. I hope the N-400 actually help to move things a bit faster.

Haha, it possibly did speed up your application! That's awesome! Yes and my local office is Queens (it used to be NYC when Queen was closed). If I don't receive anything soon, I will file for N400 as well because it does save you 1-3 months of wait 🙂

If I were you, I would file N-400 as soon as possible. I keep putting off I-751 application, and it ended up taking way too long. I almost lost a job opportunity because of the soon-expire green card, and then had to travel to NJ to get a stamp on my passport for the extension. I was planning to file N-400 once I got the ROC done too, but then all the hassles that came with an unexpectedly prolonged processing time changed my mind. And who knows what changes to the naturalization process could be legalized by Washington given all the ongoing immigration controversies that could delay our application even more!

More proof that you are in a bona fide marriage or that it is terminated for real reasons.

It saves more. You are going to wait for ROC anyway .Might just shave off time on the naturalization.

If you can apply for N-400 and want to, then go ahead

Check this forum for combo filers.

You are so right. When I filed for my ROC, it took about 9 months to get an interview and now, people are waiting over 15 months! It's insane how things have changed.  The wave of applications that came in in the past 2 years is insane but hopefully we will get through this. My window opens in a week, so probably beginning of October I will file N-400. :-))
