I mailed my documents to California and it was received 7/10/2018. I did biometrics on 8/3 then my case updated online that it was transferred to local field office 2/26. I called USCIS spoke with tier 2 officer and he told me the case is in California it was transferred to my local field office then back to California. I got my stamp 8/9 and the 18th month extension letter 8/18. Thanks for sharing guys I'll post here as I go along.

I'm still waiting for my extension letter. Although I keep getting daily updates through e-mail (since last week) saying that they are still reviewing my case  and there's no update at this time. I don't know if it's really transferred to my local office last August 9th or it's just one of those error. I'm just waiting. I have until the 25th of this month to decide whether I would get the i-551 stamp or not.

I had my passport stamped today in Hartford! 6mos extension and my gc will expire September 27th. They allowed me to have an early stamp without any issue!

I did applied for Infopass in June and got an year of extension. But few weeks later my attorney received a letter from USCIS with 18 month extension and it will supersede my previous stamping on passport. 

 

Now, I just waiting for my case results. All the best everyone!!!

Search cases that were filed during the same time as you and see if others got it. You search that on the uscis app.

Received letter of approval in the mail today. The case status has been updated to “New card is being produced” on the case status online page. Meanwhile, the case status on my USCIS account still remains “Case was received at local office” as of February 26, 2018.

 

My priority date is July 25, 2017 at VSC. The Receipt Number is  EAC17298xxxxx. My 1-year extention letter expired on August 20. I haven’t received my 18 month extension letter yet.

The stamp in the passport is all you need.  If the CBP officer doesn't know what it is, let them look it up rather than confuse them even more with expired GC, extension letters, etc.  

 

I will tell you that from my experiences....CBP do not like expired GC's.  This is a huge red flag to them even when accompanied by the extension letter.  In my travels they did prefer the stamp and were insistent  on getting the stamp.  From this one can only assume USCIS does not look to CBP for guidance on protocols.

 

Now that I have the stamp, and will be using it soon, I will report back soon as to its success rate.

 

 

I still drive across the Windsor/Detroit border every other week on Friday to drop kids off, and again Sunday to pick them up..... Life has been a lot more pleasant since getting the passport stamps!! The Detroit office let s keep the cards and letters (stamp obtained 7-13-2018). BUT  just this past Sunday, we had a real Grumpy Gus who chewed me out for handing over our passports, with original Visa and updated valid stamp and said we should ONLY be presenting our (EXPIRED) GC  as "we can see your current status in the system..."  The IO at the USCIS office had told us we didn't need to even carry our GC anymore - so I just quietly rolled my eyes, smiled and did the whole "yes sir, thank you sir"  and a very silent "eff you sir" after I drove away...... 

 

In all of our very regular border crossings, we had a ton of hassle with the original 12 mth letter because it was only in my name (daughters were submitted as dependents on my app)...... the 12 mth letter expired on 8/11/2018 and I got the stupid 2 page 18 month letter (processed 8/18/2018) then my girls finally got their own I-797 letters ((but they have YSC receipt numbers!!!)) and those re dated 8/24/2018 {{{{UGH}}}}

 

Anywho..... I called USCIS this past week after getting the girls' letters with their YSC codes.... Officer I spoke with was able to confirm that our cases are still together, and that a new administrative policy was that dependents would now get their own receipt numbers as well.....(would have been nice all this last year when I was regularly educating the CPB officers as to why only I had a letter....)

 

So, here we are --- still waiting along with all of you........ Sending out all the Speedy & Accurate Processing Vibes that one can

Yes, I did, on August 5. I wonder if my N-400 application sped up the ROC. I see that you are from NYC too! My local office is Brooklyn. Right now the estimated waiting time for my N-400 is 10 months.
