I’m in and out the country several times a week because I’m a flight attendant and trust me, some of the CBP officers have no idea what they suppose to do.

I don't doubt it at all but why confuse them even more with all the null and void stuff.

The stamp in the passport is all you need.  If the CBP officer doesn't know what it is, let them look it up rather than confuse them even more with expired GC, extension letters, etc.

I will tell you that from my experiences....CBP do not like expired GC's.  This is a huge red flag to them even when accompanied by the extension letter.  In my travels they did prefer the stamp and were insistent  on getting the stamp.  From this one can only assume USCIS does not look to CBP for guidance on protocols.

Now that I have the stamp, and will be using it soon, I will report back soon as to its success rate.

Hello my fellow July 2017 Filers!! :)

Did anybody here travel to The Bahamas with just an I-551 stamp only?

Thank you!

God has perfect timing; never early, never late. It takes a little patience and it takes a lot of faith but it's worth the wait. ❤️

I was on a K-1 Visa on 2014.

That is very strange.  Most people do not wait until the extension letter expires before getting an infopass stamp especially if one has to travel.  I got a stamp Aug 16 when my extension letter( the 1st one) is/was still valid until 9/25 as  I am flying early October.  I am a CSC filer and got stamp ( luckily) from the Sacramento office.

Btw:  On the same day that I got the i551 stamp, the 18month extension letter arrived.

I know, it is super strange. I wasn't told to wait until it expires though. I went about a month and a half before it expires and the officer said I needed to wait at least on or two weeks prior my expiration date to get it.

I travel for work internationally at least once every two months, so far I haven't had an issue entering with the extension letters, but you are right, an expired greencard is a huge red-flag. On top of it, carrying all that paperwork with you is a pain in the rear.

Any July VSC filers got approved? I applied on july 10th 2017, still waiting. Also, applied for N-400 on july 3rd 2018(waiting for interview to be scheduled). Seems like VSC is getting as slow as CSC. Been almost 14 months of wait now, who knows how long we have to wait.

N400 fingerprints were pretty quick, within 1 week(from july 3) I got the biometrics letter and after the next 2 weeks(from the notice) on July 26 I had my fingerprints, but after that it went dead with an estimated time for 8 months for newark nj. Waiting it out now. It says by June 2019 the process will be complete for me, not sure how accurate that is. Hope they conduct both the I-751 and citizenship interview together. I want to be done with this process for good. Tired of renewing my drivers license in pieces and explaining to my company HR about the process/delays. This is annoying and planning to get the senators involved since nothing else seems to be helping the case move.(worth a try)
