don't see any harm in filling that out. I travel a lot so I had about 18 trips listed in the last 5 years. It took a while but I'd rather do it than get an RFE and delay the process.

Wow that is a lot of vacations! :-)  I  started a log many many years ago on my trips .

While I am still waiting til my window of opportunity opens (ie within that 3 month window of ext. letter expiring)...I can't tell you exactly what I brought...but I can tell you it seems that some offices are keeping the expired GC, others are not.  So, I'd be sure you scan the front and back of your expired GC before you attend just in case they keep it.

You do not need to bring your expired passport.  It is no longer valid and your GC (expired) replaces that expired I94 visa.

I'm sitting on eggshells too...I have a trip planned and need that stamp or that new ext. letter asap.  Next week I'm booking my infopass appt as its pretty easy to get an appt here in Reno.  I'll let you know how it goes.  I have been grilled the last 2 out of 3 times returning to the US from Canada.

Think all of us from CSC are practicing patience.

And, congrats to all those at VSC!!!  :)

Yes please let me/us know how that goes. I am in Sacramento  and if difficult to get an appointment  here, I may make one in Reno! And just in case, can you send me the link for that office or contact info?  My 90days before expiration is some time next week.

I made mine for the 13th.....lucky Friday the 13th!

Is Reno the closest office to you?

I'll just gag if they turn me away again....especially knowing CSC is way way way backed up that they are taking extra long not just with processing I-751 but in acknowledging the new apps too.

@tdotca I’m Sacramento too! I’ve almost never seen other Sac people on here. Please post back if you successfully get an appointment. I’m not going to try for one until August as my GC expiration isn’t till then and I don’t want to risk being turned away for being more than a month out.

Hey guys. I am planning to apply for Naturalization next week as we still wait for the ROC to be approved. During my 3 years as Permanent Resident, I went on an international trip for 2 weeks. Does anyone know if I have to wait additional 2 weeks before I can apply for Naturalization? I thought there was something about continued stay within the United States for 3 years.

I made info pass and went in to see field office yesterday 6/29/2018 in LA. She told me case still pending and i will know the status when they touch the case. I told her i know that by checking online. Moreover, i would like to know more than that. "still pending" said her. She told me they fall behind to at least 18months period now. BS, but I got extended stamp for another year to 2019.

Just out of general curiosity, are there any other CSC filers in this thread that have had literally zero movement on their case? That is to say, when checking for updates there is nothing aside from the typical:

Quote

Case Was Received

On July XX, 2017, we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number [...]

While checking my case both on the USCIS and DHS portals, I have not had any movement. I am not overly concerned, but given that I am coming up on my 1 year anniversary since filing, and I have seen many others in this thread at least have a notice of "Your case was transferred to your local office [...]", I am wondering if there are others in the same boat as me?

You can apply 90 days before your 3 year anniversary as a permanent resident (go by the issue date on your permanent resident card).

And yes, it is ok to apply for citizenship while you ROC is still pending.

My 2yr Green Card was issued on October 2nd, 2015. I am applying for Citizenship next week as I still wait for the decision on my ROC.

There should be two case numbers - one for I-751 and one for CRI-89. Make sure you check both.

Noted! My many thank-yous for pointing that out. Upon entering in my other receipt number I now see (on the USCIS portal):

Case Was Received At My Local Office

On February 26, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number [...]

I do suppose there has been movement then in that case. Oddly, after adding the new receipt number, there is still a lack of movement on the DHS portal. Whatever the case, I am just happy there appears to be something happening with my file as of this year.

Mine says the same thing - CRI-89 is showing case was  received in July 2017, and I-751 says case was received at my local office on April 9th 2018. I read that the first three digits of your I-751 number means the day of the year your case was received. Mine is 306. If I remember correctly someone that had 263 already got approved. depends on what yours is, you should have an update in the next few months, hopefully :)

Great to know!

I got curious about this and did a quick Google search and found this.

It looks like the first 2 digits after the WAC or EAC is the fiscal year; all of us should be in 17 I believe here.

The next three digits are the computer work day, which I think is what you are referencing here? If that is the case, I am 290 for my I-751.

If someone did get approved with a 263 number, perhaps some good news is on the horizon for us? Fingers crossed! Thanks again!
