Question regards to renewing my license

My driver license is expiring next month, I filed for I-751 July 2017 and letter should extend to October 2018 (GC expired Oct 2017). Should I try to get I-551 stamp before trying to renew my license? (might be too early since letter expiring in October) Or should I just use the current letter? (kinda make no sense if it only extends for 2 months).

Any news from any July VSC filers? We are in July already (almost 1 year wait for many people). I myself applied on July 10 so tomorrow I complete one year. I already filed N400 last week (July 3) , got my biometrics appointment coming up soon. Hope we receive our GC before citizenship

Remember fam, I estimated 67 days and that was 20 days ago, so we still have at least another 47 to go if lucky and these incompetents don't let it fall between the cracks, as they are wont to do.

My GC is also expiring in October. I  scheduled an infopass (I-551) appointment last month and they stamped a 1 year extension without any questions.

Anybody here trying to get an InfoPass from USCIS Atlanta?

Also, to all the people who got their I-551 extension stamp, is the start date- after your I-751 one year extension letter expires OR the day you get the stamp?

THANKS!!

It probably doesn't matter that much, but processing times on https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

slightly dropped. It's 13 to 16 months for Vermont now, and I - think - last time I've checked it was 15 to 18 months.

K1

29.11.2013 - NoA1

06.02.2014 - NoA2

01.04.2014 - Interview.

AoS

03.2015 - AoS started.

09.2015 - Green Card received.

RoC

24.07.2017 - NoA1.

01.08.2018 - RoC approved.

I checked two weeks ago for Vermont it was 13 to 17 months, and now it's 13 to 16.5 months. Well at least a little bit faster...

I tried to get an Infopass appt in Atlanta and I never saw one, got on at all time of day and night and even set up an alert on my computer. So I drove up there at about 10am to walk in and security let me in but that window was closed saying "no more walk ins today". The security guard said people are getting in line to walk in as early as 2am. Our situation was that my husband's GA DL expired 1 year after the date of the NOA not the Green Card so he still has 2 1/2 months left on the extension letter but his driver's license expires 07/10. If that is all you need (a driver's license) then the DMV office near Georgia State University will give you (for the low low fee of $50) a paper 4 month GA DL (his Green Card extension expires 09/29 and his paper license now expires 10/29); be sure you take your Green Card and Extension letter. Hope this helps a little. Wait times suck.
