Hey, guys we finally got the RFE now we need to send the package but I have a question about g-325 -a and the intent to marry letter. We have a copy of those documents signed by my fiance but do they need an original signature it can't be a copy? if she needs to send me the original signed paper it will take forever. Any Ideas? thanks

She can scan and email the letter of intent and G-325A to you.

if i were you i didnt take the risk to be denied because the signature, remember that you dont have a secon chance to get a new rfe.

as you are running the risk to be denied if they dont like what you send , it is better send to them fresh signature, it is better expend some dollars paying for fedex or usp to send a original signature that be denied.

if you are denied because of the signature you will lost your moeny and time, so i were you and send a fresh signature just to be safe and avoid be denied, remember this is your chance to get approved or denied.

your fiance can send you the papers by fedex or usp and will arrive quick, it is better wait some days for the papers nd be approved and no be denied and start over gain

He doesn't risk anything because wet signatures aren't required. He's not exactly gambling with anything here. There hasn't been one single RFE on all of visajourney for beneficiaries not sending wet signatures since around 2013 when USCIS changed the requirements.

I'm a bit confuse now of what to do and the package is going out this Wednesday, but thanks everyone for your input.

There is NO requirement for wet signatures. In 2013 USCIS removed that requirement from the instructions, there has been no RFEs to read about here on VJ since. Thousands of VJ members scan and email letter of intent for the i-129f petition, there are no issues.

People used to get RFEs for it, that's true. But not since they changed the requirements a few years ago.

I found a document about signatures requirements and below is small part of the document that explains the wet signature requirements

1. Individuals Requesting an Immigration Benefit or Other USCIS Action Any individual filing a request or any other document with USCIS must personally sign the request or document. The term “individual,” as used in section B.1, excludes corporations or other legal entities as well as attorneys, accredited representatives, agents, preparers, and interpreters. No other person is permitted to sign a request or document on behalf of an individual filing a request with USCIS except when that individual is under 14 years of age or is mentally incompetent. 3 The regulations do not require that a requester submit an “original” or “wet ink” signature on a petition, application, or other request to USCIS. See 8 CFR § 103.2(b)(4). If USCIS has reason to question the signature it may request the original document or more evidence from the requestor in accordance with 8 CFR § 103.2(b)(8).
