They are on the east coast and open at 8:00 am. I live in Texas and for me that's 7:00 am. Anytime I have called right when they open I only wait about 10-15 minutes. Most of the time it's less than 10! Try calling right when they open and you have a much better chance of not only getting through but not having to wait for 30-40 minutes.

Thanks cleon. I'm in Jamaica so I'm wondering the time difference, I know most states are like an hour ahead of us

How long is it currently taking from the time NVC receives your package until the package is scanned?  I have been checking the status for a week and still no changes on visa status page (https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx).

I just googled it and it says it's 2:53 pm in Jamaica, that's the same as me. So, trying calling them between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. your time.

It took 1 day for me. They received it June 21st and I called on the 23rd and they said my scan date was June 22nd. That was via phone call to NVC though. Not sure about online status. It still says I need to submit my documents. It'll only change once I get a CC.

For cr1/ir1 visas we found that the status will not change from "submit documents" to "at NVC" until the case is complete. That's one way of finding out if your case has been completed right now for this visa type. It took 4 days for them to "scan in" mine. They have probably already received them you can call and find that out.

It seems like NVC fixed its payments issues. I paid my aos on 7/21 and until today said paid, but it says it was processed on 7/24. I hope they process my IV 325 soon.:jest:(paid IV on 7/27)
