So he can send the package now. Perfect. We need to print off the receipts of the payment and attach it with each of the package, right? And the bar-coded sheets are the ones we got from NVC first welcome letters?

Yes, I did include those receipts. :) Wanted to prove that at least that my payments were "in process". Yeah, you want to include your barcoded welcome letter cover sheet with the list of required documents. The welcome letter should have your case number on it. That's why it's so important to include it. Do not separate things into separate folders and put everything in one envelope. Did you review the following?

I did and I am very happy and thankful you have put all of the efforts into helping people! Just sometimes the steps look confusing! So we are ready to get done with this and start the new waiting. Really hope for a faster process. It was 7 months in USCIS.

Sure thing! :)

Looks like you're ready.. I hear you on wanting to send it out, i was going mad and finally just had to send it out.. My nerves were shot.. Good luck! :)

Just reading again my previous texts. Could be confusing for other readers.. Just to clarify to everyone. Do not separate things into separate folders/envelopes. Put everything into one envelope with your barcoded NVC cover letter (the one with the list of required documents) on top.

Do I need to call to confirm the payment or this is automatic? I can bug them if it's needed :D

Hi Synthrian and NihalV,

Did you receive your Welcome Letter (via email) and call NVC to review/approve DS261? This has to be done before those IV fee will open up..

Yes received Welcome letter, called and asked NVC to review DS 261. the lady suggested she had reviewed it but it will take 1 week to allow paying IV fee

@JBMG - I am lil confused for this bar code cover letter.  if possible can you share example photo for this.. it would be really helpful.

We did receive it. For some reason I thought AOS fee would open after ds-261 was reviewed, and since we managed to pay it I thought that the ds-261 did get reviewed. Thanks so much! Will try to get them to review it over the phone if possible.

And btw I just want to let everyone know that the expiration date on I-864 is till July 31 2017. I asked a lady from NVC and she said it's ok to send it, but when I hear about the checklists people are receiving this should be checked with a supervisor I assume.

Hi NihalV, it's in your welcome letter. :) It has your case number on it.

No worries, it will clear within a few days. That's why it's a good idea that you're including a print out of them showing in "in process"

Yeah, ask them to approve it over the phone.. While on the phone, give them both the petitioner's and beneficiary's email addresses. :) This way all updates will be sent to both of you.

There is only one welcome letter which includes the "document cover sheet" as shown earlier. And on that document cover sheet, there are 2 barcodes (one on top right, and one centered on the bottom). Your type of visa class and case number will be centered above the bottom barcode.   That's the document that must be placed on top of all of your supporting documents in your NVC package.

Husband managed to get through to them and they reviewed our DS-261 over the phone! Guy on the phone said IV fee will be unlocked in a week, but hopefully it'll be like @larnar1309's case and unlocked much sooner.

The other thing is that my husband says his tax return still isn't ready? He thinks the delay might be because we submitted an ITIN application for me at the same time. Will submitting just a W2 + explanation be sufficient, you guys think?

We also have a joint sponsor who provided tax transcripts.
