Paid aos on 7/3 and paid IV today 7/12 but we called the NVC yesterday and someone reviewed my choice of agent over the phone and put some kind of supervisor thing on it. She said IV would be available in a week but was able to pay it today!! So I recommend calling the NVC :)

Oh good to know! Thanks :)

Thanks ! I'm not sure if it's quickly because I saw on a lot of timelines the fee being available in a few days! So I guess that made me worried and i asked my husband to call and check. Turns out that was the best thing to do! Hope you get the same outcome :)

Yes definitely get him to! Tell him to say you are ready to pay the IV and wanted to know if ds-601 has gone through yet. I think that's what my husband said and he had a really nice lady on the phone.

Fingers crossed you get yours like

me tomorrow :D

yes I did... so what did the supervisor say?? were u given another checklist after the supervisor reviewed it??

Hi, I tagged you in the forum about the police certificate, looks like it's good for a year so u should be fine.

No, I only had the one checklist and it was to resend the pcc because they were missing pages. The supervisor was the one who clarified why NVC could not "accept our document." It's wasn't that we had the wrong document , but that they didn't have all 3 pages. We sent all pages, but I don't know if our case number was on every sheet because we are using a lawyer, I assumed they would already know what needed to be done.

@kadupul I had the same issue. I got a checklist for an incomplete Nigerian PCC which got to them on June 21st and expired on June 22nd. I was told the last time I called that it should be ok but i will be required to bring an updated one to the interview so....fingers crossed !

Reminder!!  Anyone preparing your NVC package to check out the following. Tips on how to avoid a checklist/stories from people who received them.. Also, if you're using a lawyer, doesn't mean you're safe. Many people that used a lawyer had mistakes with their NVC package, received a checklist requiring them to send in new documentation.  If you noticed that you made a mistake, do not wait for your review, send in the correction ASAP.

if we decide to send in the correction asap, will that not give two scan dates and make the wait time longer

Yes technically, that's correct but when @ynes sent in a new document. They processed his case within 10 weeks of from his original scan date or 4.71 weeks from when they received the 2nd document.. So it's very possible that even if you send in a 2nd document before your review, you can still get your case processed from your original scan date.. If you know that you have an error, then I def advise sending in the correction ASAP. Or you'll just lose all that time for nothing..

What document are you worried about?

I keep calling NVC every single day minus weekends. They keep telling me that my case is being actively reviewed...since June 29. I think they are confusing case being actively reviewed with case just sitting in a pile with other cases in the reviewing department.:(

This Friday it will be 8 weeks since my scan date. I know, it's still kinda early to be upset but I just am sooo tired of waiting for my CC  just like the majority of people on here I'm sure.

Let's hope end of this week will bring some news to us.

Avoid getting a checklist....

Police and Court Records

If you lived in any country more than 6 months, you have to request and police report from that country.. If you have any court records, you have to request those too.

Does that also apply to Petitioner and/or Sponsor(s,) or only the Applicant?  I have my wife's police report, but none for me, and I lived with her in her country for 5 years before returning to the US.
