Got an email from my husband's state representative (we requested their help and. Sure glad we did!)  on July 5 saying the NVC sent our AOS and IV fee statement to us June 21st. We never received it. Did anyone not receive something written?

Did everyone have to fill out DS261? Our fees were already unlocked before I had filled it in, but I hadn't specified an agent as far as I recall.

I read in the Wiki it restarts the clock ~30 days if you open it after it's been done already and I don't want to do that!

That's very strange... Just curious, when you originally called the NVC, did you provide them with the petitioner's and beneficiary's email addresses?

Hey,

Hoping someone can put my mind at ease on this one. Our AOS fee was available to pay this morning (I submitted choice of agent yesterday afternoon) My husband filled in the payment info and when he sent the payment it took ages for the website to respond. It finally came up with a message to say there was an error and to try again later. (He's a computer guy, he said it was a typical server error) He went to submit the payment again and the same error message appeared, but when he went back to the main payment page the status of the payment is "in process". Anyone experienced this? Have we actually sent the payment successfully? And have we potentially submitted it twice seeing as both times we got the same error?

Thanks in advance

I have exactly the same issue with the iv fee.  Exactly the same thing happened. The next day I got a duplicate email to pay the IV fee. I logged in and my payment no longer said in process but said pay again. I tried to pay again and it said there was a payment pending. I called and the women stated that she could only see my AOS fee and if I  tried to pay like I described, I just need to leave it because it can take up to a week. I logged in to my bank and I can see the payment posted as of the day after i paid it the first time. I am still waiting for the website to reflect the payment. If I don't see paid by Tuesday, I'll call again.

The same thing happened to me. I called NVC to tell them I had paid my fees but it wasn't showing up on their website. The rep told me to email their service center with my bank statement showing I paid it. I sent the email June 12th and they replied July 8th which is ridiculous. In my case it was just slow and ended up showing paid after a little over a week. I bet the same thing will happen with yours. As far as emailing them, they're slow and inefficient and I wouldn't waste your time.

HI Trininurse,

All of the following received a checklist that required a 2nd scan date (SD).. You can see how long it took them to receive their Case Complete (CC) from their 2nd scan date by looking at the last 2 columns "SD to CC - DAYS" and "SD to CC - WEEKS"

Yeah, we did as well but when I called the NVC for the first time, I gave both emails as they only had one on file..  Def call back the NVC and verify with them that they have both of your emails, and to confirm if they're correct. .  Meanwhile, please join the following forum. as you'll find several canadians that can help you out with the entire process. Def read through all the posts on that forum as it'll teach you what to expect. I haven't been following it, but maybe others have already experienced what you're going through now.

Here is a spreadsheet that JBMG put together

It helps give you a good idea of how long cases with and without checklists can take-there are many that are taking less than 11 weeks, so that is hopeful

Hi @Otolaw

All of the following received a checklist that required a 2nd scan date (SD).. You can see how long it took them to receive their Case Complete (CC) from their 2nd scan date by looking at the last 2 columns "SD to CC - DAYS" and "SD to CC - WEEKS"

You'll notice that some got their CC after a checklist very quickly, this is either because they were in contact with a supervisor or submitted an "expedited request". For example, @KaurN submitted an expedited request, was approved, her file was then transferred to the NVC

You can try to get connected to a supervisor to have them approve your new documents with you over the phone. I've seen it work for other people. Def start trying 1 week after they've confirmed your 2nd scan date. Keep on trying until someone connects you to a supervisor. Wishing you luck.

How to expedite at NVC?

Go to this link has good information how to go about it.

http://boureypeatnut...m/expedite.html

Just to remind everyone to revisit the NVC Process Wiki, NVC Process Wiki
