Tax return from 2005 is it ok for I-134?

Hi all,

I am confusing again, my husband put the tax return from 2005 in I-134 affidavit, does it ok? the tax from 2006 he didnt pay yet. What Ca we do?

Other thing is, he got $17,010 in 2005, are we above of the poverty guideline?

All forms must be signed unless it is the part two of DS 230?

Based on the Affidavit of Support Poverty Guidelines: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-864P.pdf

For 2 people you must be above $17,112. Also I believe you will have to provide this years affidavit of support if i am not mistaken.

He should provide a copy of his 2006 taxes along with his 2006 W2.

The 2006 tax filing deadline is here. If your husband has filed the form requesting a late tax filing you will want to have a copy of that, otherwise you will want to have a copy of his complete 2006 tax return.

it is my understanding that if your fiance/spouse interview is before the deadline of taxes ( April 15 2006) then 2006 tax returns will not be required, you would use 2005.

It's tax time, so if he hasn't done hix taxes yet he's late...unless he got an extension.

if your fiance/spouse has completed their taxes, call the IRS and have them fax his tax transcripts. the IRS can do fax them the same day as you requested it.

He doesn't need to pay his taxes just needs to submit a copy of his return plus W2s. Since your interview is coming up, bring a copy of those to the interview.

My husband is self employer, I dont know if he has W2, but I will say it for him. I hope it works.
