Not sure if you have enough time, but I would email the consulate. I sent the consulate an email and it took 2 days for a reply. Personally, I went for safe then sorry and had him take all originals and a color copy double sided of everything... Good luck!

I have a question for you guys.. I'm petitioning for my wife cr-1 visa her interview is in Juarez august 4 when we sent all the papers to nvc I didn't make a copy of I-864 I didn't know I had to but my question is if they didn't ask me to take it to the interview should I worry? I don't want to make a new for fear of having different numbers on it since I don't recall what exactly I wrote in it.. thanks in advance

I am filling I 864 form electronically(Adobe) for my interview next week and not able to type "," and characters are limited  for part 2 field 2.b.

Is there a way to override the restrictions?

Note: My I 864 form was previously filled by my lawyer and he was able to override restrictions.

Why are you submitting a new one?

I'm in the same situation the person who helped us fill up our paper work sent the form but didn't give me or my wife a copy so idk if I need one for the interview..how does your appointment letter states you need one? Does it have a check on the box?

No, i think its a standard email.

You already submitted certain forms and documents to NVC. At your visa interview, you must give the consular officer the original version of each civil document you submitted plus one photocopy for each person applying for a visa. These original versions will be returned to you.  The only form you do not need to bring to your interview is the Form DS-260 Application for an Immigrant Visa. Instead, print a copy of the receipt page from ceac.state.gov showing you submitted the form online.  If a financial sponsor submitted an I-864 Affidavit of Support form, you must give the consular officer a signed version. It can be a photocopy, but the signature cannot be typed or electronic.  If you do not bring to your interview the original version of all civil documents submitted to NVC, the consular officer will reschedule your interview.

I asked the guy that helped us and he said we don't need it because they should have it already since I submitted I have w2s from the last 3 previous years as well as tax returns but I'm not sure if I should make a new form

I am under same assumption they wont ask I 864 but instead only ask tax transcripts and w2 for 2016 based on reviewing some responses, but i want to be safe.

Hi Guys! I am actually new on this platform but i have been following the reviews n questions being asked my members of the forum which has been very helpful to me.  My interview is coming up on the 7th of august at the Lagos embassy in Nigeria and i'll like to know if i have to go with the original affidavit of support. My husband is filing for me and he scanned the filled AOS to me which already contains his signature. i want to know if the photocopy  or scanned copy of the form 1-864 will be accepted or it has to be the original. Many thanks

A scanned or xerox copy of the i864 (which was submitted to the nvc) would suffice. This is mentioned on the p4 as well.

Just called - I'm addicted :D:D No news. Same response as usual.

Good, it's because of people who call in everyday that we find out when they start releasing them. ;) I imagine we'll start to see September interview dates today.. If not, most def by Monday.

My husband also forgot to make a copy of the one he sent  to nvc but he printed out another form and filled it by hand in black ink and signed it. The reason why he filled it in black ink was because he was unable to type the information electronically. That is what i intend to submit to nvc for my interview on the 7th of august if i am asked for it. However, the issue now is that the 1-864 will expire on thr 31st of august, so i am thinking can i submit it like that for the interview or ask my spouse to print out a new form and fill the form before my interview date.
