I Agree with you! I called NVC on 7/21/17 and the gentleman told me to just wait until 7/31 and on 7/17 another operator told me to wait until the first week of Aug. I guess no one really knows. At this point we just have to be patient and wait.

CC: 7/7

Exactly. There is not really much time left to wait anymore, so that's good news :) We waited for almost a year now for all this, we can manage to wait another week somehow :D for the dates and 4 more weeks for the interview  We are almost there. The tricky thing is that - the less time is left till the end of process, the more impatient we get!!! At least I am :D:D I'm soooo hoping for beginning of September interview

I'm not sure if I should call NVC at this point. I don't think they are going to start scheduling for September dates this months anymore. Actually, that's exactly what I was told when I called NVC yesterday. The lady said, they will begin scheduling for September at the beginning of August. Will just have to wait a little bit more. Hopefully first week of August will give us some dates.

I'm afraid to call. I heard so many nos last month. It's not even funny.

I forgot to ans the passport question, sry.

To pick up passport, you'll receive a call from the Courier, then pick it up from G8 islamabad. They charge 850 PKR at time of pickup.

Thanks!  My pick up will be Mirpur, Azad Kashmir.  So if all goes well, passport should be ready for pickup on 8/28.

Hi Guys! I am actually new on this platform but i have been following the reviews n questions being asked my members of the forum which has been very helpful to me.  My interview is coming up on the 7th of august at the Lagos embassy in Nigeria and i'll like to know if i have to go with the original affidavit of support. My husband is filing for me and he scanned the filled AOS to me which already contains his signature. i want to know if the photocopy  or scanned copy of the form 1-864 will be accepted or it has to be the original. Many thanks

Welcome!

I'm not as far as you are in the process, but from what I've seen around vj, a photocopy is fine. It was a big question here for a while but I can't remember which forum it was on....

Are there any specific instructions on your interview letter about the form you are asking about?

ok, so I searched vj for an answer and found this topic

Many Thanks for your response Kadupul. I have read through the link you sent to me and i think it already answers my question. My interview letter does not give any specific instruction on whether the form 1-864 has to be an original or not.

On another note, the 1-864 will expire on the 31st of july and my interview is on the 7th of august. Does my spouse have to fill another form before the interview date or i can still go with the one which i already have with me. Thanks

Not sure if you have enough time, but I would email the consulate. I sent the consulate an email and it took 2 days for a reply. Personally, I went for safe then sorry and had him take all originals and a color copy double sided of everything... Good luck!
