Hi All,

My interview at the embassy for CR1 has been scheduled. I have gone over the checklist multiple times and I have all my papers in order. However, I'm nervous like I've never been before and I have no clue what questions would be shot at me. Can someone please brief me about this? It would be of great help. I have my interview in less than 2 weeks.

Hi @fifa2906

I agree. Your wife's being the toughest case I would say. You guys had a clear RED flag that too with denial on fraudulent  grounds. You got your case expedite as well. It was surprising when they didn't  check the reason for expedition. I am happy for you and your wife. Hope she was able to see your sick relative (expeditions reason) on time. Good luck for your future together.

Thank you for the good wishes and the same to you.  My wife is coming to the United States this Thursday night and we are excited to begin our life together here.    She will be able to see the sick relative and celebrate her birthday.

Please do a search on visa journey and you will find about 100 sample questions.  We reviewed them all before our interview.   The big one seems to be how did you meet.    My understanding is that Haiti is a difficult country so if you can both attend the interview, it is helpful.

You do not get to volunteer information or have a dialogue at the interview.  They will know how long you are married.  Unfortunately the interviewers are quite busy and spend less than 2 minutes with you.  They will only ask you 4 or 5 questions.   Review questions on visa journey and both try to be present for the interview.

She has her CR-1 visa affixed to her passport, and her sealed brown envelope.   She should be okay.   I will let everyone know on Friday.  :)
