yayyyyy August 16.  Now the hubby needs to scramble to get his booster shots and get his medical!  I was hoping to join him for the interview but already had a fight booked for next week :/ Companies should allocate special time off for visa immigration as a life event.

The status said administrative processing for about 10 minutes and now it says issued! Waiting for my husband to get home so I can get the details and post a review!

Is everyone buying one way tickets to America? Any issues with being allowed to buy a one way before actually having the green card?

You sure can but you might wanna wait until after you have it, just in case you get stuck in Administrative Processing or something. Better safe than sorry!

 

Also, it doesn't matter what kind of ticket you buy, two way is way cheaper, so you can totally buy one of those.

Thanks! Im finding one way tickets are quite cheap right now. Especially doing a multi city search. Windhoek to Den for 500!

You can get one way flights for a good price if you have air miles to use! You just pay for the taxes.

Woot, that sounds like a great deal. Whenever I look up one way flights from Bucharest to ATL it always ends up being around $2500, but a two way (and if you time it just right, like fly out whenever and "return" on Christmas Day (almost no one flies on that day) it's $500.

Congrats to the new CCs!!  Since we have cases on our spreadsheet that have received their August interview dates. We can assume that the following countries have released their August interview dates. If you've recently received your CC letter (letter saying that your case is now ready to be scheduled for an interview) , and see your country below, I suggest calling the NVC to see if they have your interview date. If you do not see your country below and are still waiting for it, sort the spreadsheet by country, and see when they received their interview notification.. It could be that your country releases their dates closer to the 15th of every month. So I just called NVC and I still don't have an interview date so I really don't understand how they organize them. She said it doesn't matter about the visa type, it is done by case complete but that obviously isn't true as your CC is July and mine June 28th. So I don't get it! I just want my date :/
