Can i requested a expedite base on school for my 12 year old son.i would like for him to get here so i can enroll him in school and it doesnt look like im getting a august interview date for jamaica embassy

Suggest calling the NVC on Monday.. Not sure how you go about putting through an expedited request for an interview date once you have a CC.. Def find out if they're done with August dates for your embassy.. You really could be ok and have an Aug date.. We're still early in July.. It's after the 15th of July, the likelihood of an August date would be minimal..

PP, I'm the guy that told him to complete an updated version. ;)  Francis, relax, it's not a big deal to bring an updated version. Many people do it and I've seen that often times the embassy doesn't even take the new versions.. If they want the updated one, they'll take it.. normally they'll have all of your stuff, that's the point of the NVC to prepare out docs for them. If your interview letter didn't tell you to bring it, bringing it is just a safety precaution.. As a backup.. We've all been waiting for this moment for about a year or more.. so that's why we're all anxious to bring everything we submitted just so that we don't have any excuses to have another delay. So you can fill out a new one, or you can not bring one at all. It's really up to you especially since your interview letter didn't say you had to bring it. :)

 Are you attending the interview with your wife?

Yes sir I am

Thank you!! :)

I have been checking CEAC site every other day or so, but it still says at NVC. I wasn't too concerned about it since I got the email confirmation, but now... :blink:

Am I at the right site? https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx

Hi, yeah, that's one link to check. But this is another link to check to see where your file is at. Giving  status updates as your file moves from NVC, to embassy, etc.. Same link that said "action required: submit documents" then it changed to "at nvc" next one should say "in transit"

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

you can see examples of each state at the following link. Just need to scroll down to see them.

Thanks for this. Unfortunately they don't seem to have a 'send from pakistan' option, only can receive in Pakistan with that.

I talked to my bank, they've pretty good rates if I open a USD account (about $60 per $10k) so its better than Western Union.

Now I just have to think of a way to go ahed with this. I already committed with the relatives, before, as I was told wrong bank rates ($900 fee vs $60 fee for transfer). I don't wanna go ahead with the relatives method i.e. pay their family locally and they pay me there but I committed. ugh.

I think your family will understand and be happy that you found a solution. No worries.. :) Sure they'll be happy for you.

So since you're going, if any changes are needed to the AOS form (if you decided to fill out a new one), you can make them there during the interview. If you don't bring a new version, and if they need one.. I'm sure they have that form available to have ou complete out a new one during the interview. So no worries. ;)  Wish you luck on the interview. All is going to be ok. ;)

Yeah finally!! Entered the purple phase. Awaiting green 😄

AHAHAH. Happy to hear those colors are useful.. took me a while to choose the colors for each stage.. As colors meanings vary from the many cultures represented on our spreadsheet.. I hope you and everyone who have received a CC will get an August interview date. Wishing you all luck!

thanks for sharing, so def the second p4 letter had nothing to do with a change in status.. good to know.. ;) I think it's some glitch with the NVC sending out second p4 letters.. Because I never heard of cases before us receiving more than one p4 letter.
