Great catch PP!!  In France, the American embassy is closed on American and French holidays. So def makes sense that the embassy would be closed on Indian holidays..

@amul Def reach out to the NVC to see what's up with that date. Poor thing, don't want your hubby to show up and it be closed..

Hey @JBMG -- both the letters look identical. I received the first one on June 30th. Anyhow we are all good to go and that is all that matter, no ;)

Thanks for the amazing support, your kindness and all your hard work!

Hi Amul. Same thing happened to us. Received a 2nd p4 letter.. The only difference (that i know of) was the date on top. But then I thought to check my CEAC status, and sure enough, it changed to the following..

In Transit
Immigrant Visa Case Number: PRS2017xxxxxx
Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center.

Then on the page where the AOS goes away, came back and the following changed from "NVC" to "Paris"

CASE NUMBER: PRS2017xxxxxx
VISA CLASS: IR1
YOUR CASE IS CURRENTLY AT: PARIS
FOREIGN STATE OF CHARGEABILITY: FRANCE

So Maybe it's a new thing they're doing.. who knows with the NVC.. Please let us know if the same happened to you.

Just checked it and I still get this:

CASE NUMBER: NWD2017xxxxxx
VISA CLASS: CR1
YOUR CASE IS CURRENTLY AT: NVC
FOREIGN STATE OF CHARGEABILITY: INDIA

Maybe by next week they will update it??

I use transfer wise.. not sure if they have your currency though.. Very affordable rates (better than my bank) to transfer from my euro account to my dollar one.. And it can be done from anywhere..

Here's an invitation link. I think they give your first transfer for free.

For us, it changed to Ready a good 7-14 days (after staying in transit, i dont recall the exact number of days). Before that it showed as 'in transit'. 'in transit', from what others ahve said, can even mean 'currently ready to be picked up by DHL from NVC' and will stay like that until its scanned at the destination embassy system.

Thanks for this. Unfortunately they don't seem to have a 'send from pakistan' option, only can receive in Pakistan with that.

I talked to my bank, they've pretty good rates if I open a USD account (about $60 per $10k) so its better than Western Union.

Now I just have to think of a way to go ahed with this. I already committed with the relatives, before, as I was told wrong bank rates ($900 fee vs $60 fee for transfer). I don't wanna go ahead with the relatives method i.e. pay their family locally and they pay me there but I committed. ugh.

I am really sorry but I have no expertise on this..

@JBMG would you be able to advise

PP, I'm the guy that told him to complete an updated version. ;)  Francis, relax, it's not a big deal to bring an updated version. Many people do it and I've seen that often times the embassy doesn't even take the new versions.. If they want the updated one, they'll take it.. normally they'll have all of your stuff, that's the point of the NVC to prepare out docs for them. If your interview letter didn't tell you to bring it, bringing it is just a safety precaution.. As a backup.. We've all been waiting for this moment for about a year or more.. so that's why we're all anxious to bring everything we submitted just so that we don't have any excuses to have another delay. So you can fill out a new one, or you can not bring one at all. It's really up to you especially since your interview letter didn't say you had to bring it. :)

Are you attending the interview with your wife?

No i was not on K1 when denied the tourist visa i filed for k1 in 2014 n was denied so that was over then in 2015 filed for tourist was denied and i guess was bckz they could see filed for K1 to them thst showed i wanted to immigrate not realy visiting i thought so.

2.my K1 visa was denied due to time elapse of 2 years they coukd go on processing it bcoz the time we met with my fiance 2 years duration pass thats their rule,it was not cancelled but denied, and were given option of appeal but we pass that and plan our wedding.

3.Am now married to my fiance same fiance of mine now husband on a CR-1 visa

hope its clear now ?

If you made it this far, you should be ok.. I think this is what the USCIS stage if for to do a background check, etc.. Also, did you mention this info on your ds-260? They ask if this type of info on there? If you're honest on there and honest at the embassy, i don't see why you'd have a problem..  Many people get denied a tourist visa.. You can do a search on the forum and read tons and tons of people worried about that.. And they had no problems getting their visa..
