He was denied due to lack of evidence that he would return.

Unless the applicant is told the specific reason for denial, it's hard to be sure and I didn't want to assume anytime 😉

@amul- as per the spread sheet snd and your timeline, your interview has been scheduled for 15th August in New Delhi.

That does raise an alarm 🚨!!

How can you get an interview date on a Holiday?? That too in Embassy in New Delhi which comes under high alert during 15th August!! It's impossible for public to get around US Embassy in delhi on independence day.

I suggest you re check:

http://holidays.org.in/2017-holidays-calendar-list-u-s-embassy-new-delhi-india/

There is definitely some confusion..!!

I thought of exact same thing....Interview on 15th August?

As a practise everybody takes the exact set of documents sent to NVC...even without getting a checklist. So, carrying extra documents would never hurt.

Don't you or your lawyer has the copy of AOS submitted? If better to carry it to the interview as they may/may not ask for it. I have read few experiences where the embassy couldn't find the documents and in that case the copy helps. Your lawyer would suggest you better though. We haven't hired lawyer for our case so referring to people's experience and adding documents to the file.

Hmm..though it's not mandatory unless mentioned in your checklist/appointment letter or any email received from embassy...but people usually carry it to be safe just in case Embassy couldn't find it. See if you can prepare one if it's not too much to do...

If I prepare a new one and it's slightly different from the one I sent you think they will be a problem?

@SP&SP Help me get a clearer picture please -- would you say that the following statements below are correct?

  1. You were denied a tourist visa to the States while you were on a K1 visa
  2. You were on a K-1 visa and due to inactivity it was cancelled
  3. You are now married and on a CR-1 visa

Can you share -- are you married to your fiancee whom you had the previous K1 visa with?

Lastly, if you can, please update your timeline as it helps the whole VJ community, especially when answering your questions http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=259773

No i was not on K1 when denied the tourist visa i filed for k1 in 2014 n was denied so that was over then in 2015 filed for tourist was denied and i guess was bckz they could see filed for K1 to them thst showed i wanted to immigrate not realy visiting i thought so.

2.my K1 visa was denied due to time elapse of 2 years they coukd go on processing it bcoz the time we met with my fiance 2 years duration pass thats their rule,it was not cancelled but denied, and were given option of appeal but we pass that and plan our wedding.

3.Am now married to my fiance same fiance of mine now husband on a CR-1 visa

hope its clear now ?

If all you mention is accurate, you should not have any issues with a denied tourist visa. There are many folks on VJ who have had denied tourist visas who go on to receiving their K1 or CR-1 visas just fine.

Best of luck and keep us posted.
