Not really ... just be confident. My case is EB2 and they asked for alot of things which were not even on the List of items required, lucky I kept em.

Good Luck!

So all of EB-1 and EB-2 will be scheduled interview dates ahead of EB-3? So in theory, I could be waiting months for an interview?

I don't think there is much evidence yet to suggest that EB(Employment Based) Green Cards are scheduled any later than marriage based ones(and if they are it seems to be at most a couple of weeks longer) and certainly no evidence to suggest that EB-1s are scheduled ahead of EB-2s etc.

Pretty sure EB-3 only means 3rd preference within the employment based categories. I don't think it means it is a third preference compared to marriage based or other Green Cards as someone else suggested but I could be wrong.

I am currently waiting 3 weeks and 2 days for an interview in Canada for my EB-2 application. That said I have not seen anyone get an interview for Canada in the past 3 weeks.

Hi guys

This seems like the best place to ask. We got our interview letter P4 last week. We just got the email again. I know the answer to this but just being paranoid --->

The interview is arranged right . There is no need to confirm anywhere ?

Hi @Aaza, Same thing happened to me.  This is normal. You'll notice that your status changed too.

Click on the following links to check your visa case status:

Check My Visa Application Status

(mine says the following)

In Transit
Immigrant Visa Case Number: PRS2017XXXXXX
Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center.

DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application

(for example, mine now says the following, and my AOS info is now back)

CASE NUMBER: PRS2017XXXXXX
VISA CLASS: IR1
YOUR CASE IS CURRENTLY AT: PARIS

so are you saying by end of next week we must have our interview date?

@gili, this depends on your country's availability, visa type, and by when they release their dates. From our spreadsheet. @bbansah2 has been waiting for an interview date since May 22, @Nana&Akua since June 26th.  But they have a different visa type so it's possible that you could receive your interview date at the same time as theirs or before.. Nobody on our spreadsheet has received their interview date yet so we have nobody to compare it to..

I don't have my invoice-ID so I can't check that.

Hi Feanix,

This forum is for "IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Cases" So with that being said, most of us are CR1/IR1 family based visas.. So our process is different than yours.. We can only respond to your questions based on our own experience.. Even within our visa type, there are many MANY variances which confuse/frustrate us..

My advice since you're coming to the US on an employment visa is to use the search feature available on this forum. It's in the upper right-hand corner of your screen.. It says "google custom search" but it doesn't search google, only searches the forum. Use keywords, I imagine/hope you'll be successful in finding answers to your questions.

You can also check out the following forums which could be of great help to you.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/139-non-family-based-us-visa-discussion/

To see all the forums, go here.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/

Meanwhile, please refrain from posting questions on this forum that we don't know the answers to.. You can create a new forum just for E visa types at the following link. Then Tag everyone with an E visa to join you. To create a new topic, just click "start a new topic". I'm sure by creating a forum with the E visa type, you'll be able to help many others who can't find a home here on VJ.

Congrats to the new CCs!!  Since we have cases on our spreadsheet that have received their August interview dates. We can assume that the following countries have released their August interview dates. If you've recently received a CC, and see your country below. I suggest calling the NVC daily until you get your date.. If you do not see your country below and are still waiting for it, sort our spreadsheet by country, and see when they received their interview notification.. It could be that your country releases their dates closer to the 15th of every month. Click here for instructions on how to sort the spreadsheet.  (the sort instructions are located on the blue tab on our spreadsheet)

still waiting for Interview date CC June 27th.

Talked to a supervisor yesterday and she told no dates yet for me. And they are already done for 1st half of August for Montreal. And still they have not started scheduling for the 2nd half of August. Montreal has a lot of backlogs or maybe they are way too slow.

How did you get to a supervisor? I have been waiting for an interview date for Ghana since 5/22 and I the reps have been giving me the pre-recorded answers. It will be great to get some specifics too, just like the supervisor told you about first half/second half of August scheduling.
