Hi Trininurse,

it was terrible. You can `t bring any cellphone, ipad and anything else, so, that was the first problem. There no safety box in the embassy, so leave in the hotel or at home.

Also, remember to bring the w-2 of the sponsor, does not matter if you have the tax transcript, but it is important to bring the w-2, and the transcript. First you will go to talk with a lady from Trinidad who is going to check all the documentation, she is not the most pleasant person of the world, after that, 20 minutes , you will have go to the interview, with an american women, who was very nice.

We got approved, I have the paper signed,, but today i check the website and the say Refused....i am freaking out!!!!

If they kept your passport and CO approved you with the signed slip...you will be ok. Your status will change once they proceed with getting your visa packet ready. Congrats!

No clue on why the website would say "Refused". I have seen it with some people here. If you attempt to call NVC, just for a peace of mind, they will claim there is nothing wrong and they won't be able to explain the "Refused" neither. I would say it is a system glitch. Allow couple days to pass and if it does not update, you can either call NVC or e-mail the embassy.

Our case was closed over a week ago and we still don't have an interview date assigned. I was told it's generally 7 to 10 days from the case being closed to the interview being assigned. Does anyone habe an idea of that. I went off the checklist and only saw one case from Morocco and they found out extremely quickly. I know there are 2 of us from Morocco awaiting out interviews. Does anyone have any assistance on this. I also feel no one has been assigned yet because there hasn't been many changes on the checklist. Help I need some information because I'm about lose my patience again (like during uscis steps).

How long after CC should we be receiving the P4 letter?

We got our CC on July 17 but still no letter in the mail... only an email saying that the NVC received all documents and that we are now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment (we received this email on July 24).

Confused on if I should call the NVC or the US Embassy here in Doha regarding the appointment?

Hello!

Im waiting for an interview date from the NVC to take place at the US embassy here in Doha too.

My case was completed on June 23rd so I've been waiting for almost a month and a half. I've contacted the embassy and they said I have to wait for an email from the NVC regarding my interview. You have to follow up with the NVC via phone, the embassy won't help.

I hope you have better luck than me in getting an interview date!

Honestly, I won't stress over that too much. You contacted the embassy and it sounds like they approved you, otherwise they would have told you they changed their decision and the basis of it.

Honestly having timelines from previous cases in this site is helpful to get an idea of the process. However, there is no exact speculation on the timeframe of getting an interview date. Our case was completed on 13th of June and we still don't have a date. It all depends on the embassy releasing the available dates for the following month and how many people are waiting before you. Both of those factors are hard to predict comparing your cases to previous ones.

Good Luck
