Hi all members,

My filing I751 due date will be next month 7/10/2017

1. I am US Citizen, married my wife in Sweden. In 2014, We have Swedish Marriage Certificate in English.

Do We have to reregister our marriage here in US to obtain US marriage certificate?

Our orignial Marriage Certificate is OK to submit to USCIS ?

2. For evidences,

Do we have to include or resubmit the old AOS package when we filed with NVC ?

Or Jus Evidences going on within 2 years since my wife came to US ?

3. Fee is $595. What is Biometric service fee $85 ?

Do I have to pay this $85 on top of $595 ?

We have 7months old son, any extra fee for my son ?

Thanks for all your helps and feedbacks !!!

1. You don't have to re-register your marriage. Your Swedish marriage certificate is your marriage certificate. You don't need to re-send a copy of your marriage certificate for the I-751, but if you want to, it should be a copy (NOT the original) with a certified English translation.

2. No. You need evidence since your wife came to the US.

3. Yes, you have to pay the biometrics fee on top of the I-751 filing fee. The total fee will be $680.00. The biometrics is necessary to do a background check on your wife / take her picture for the ten-year green card. Your son is a U.S. citizen, so he's not part of the process... no fees for him.
