Hello VJ!, I have couple questions hope someone can answer. :)

I'm the petitioner for my wife ( in China right now ) ,  I'm preparing to send the Photocopies of my wife's supporting documents to NVC,

1.  Do I send the copies colored or black/white?

2.  For the Birth Certificate, we have the official notary certificate (gong zheng shu) of her birth certificate, do I have to send the photocopy of the original certificate too?

3.  For the Police Certificates list on the cover sheet, is it the certificate of no criminal record that they need? we also have the notary certificate of no criminal record (gong zheng shu), Do I just send the photocopy of that?

Thanks for your time.

No need to ALTER the copies in any way - black and white is fine if you can't copy them in color.

The documents required are the GongZhengShu (公证书֤) ֤֤ or Notarial Certificate, NOT the Chinese original.

In the case of the Medical Birth Certificate (if you really have one - these have only been issued at birth for the last 20 years), the notation on the original should read 出生医学证明  (chu sheng yixue zheng ming) or MEDICAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE, from which the GongZhengShu is generated (Yes a white book is required)

If she does not have a MEDICAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE, she will need to have a  出生公证书 or Notarial Certificate of Birth generated from her hukou book. Other documents are NOT accepted.
