K1 marriage problem!! :(

Hello everyone,

So one day before coming to usa my fiancé had a car accident and she is still recovering in a rehab center, I've been looking after her for almost two months without advancing our case and now I only have a month left to get married, so I want to ask if we get married will it affect her health insurance(state government insurance of Oregon)? Will the insurance stop paying her medical bills? Or will I have to pay her medical bills later wen I get a greencard and get a job? Please help thank you soo much 

P.S: my finacé is in college and her mom is sponsering our case

When you get married, she should be able to add you to her health insurance plan. You have to go and sign up for the plan, you won't automatically be in her plan when you get married, so that will take some time. Getting married is usually considered an important 'life event' so you should be able to enroll outside of the usual enrollment time period. The cost will go up when both of you are on the plan, but unless she enrolls in an entirely new plan, the insurance coverage should remain the same. Hoping for a speedy recovery!
