How long should I wait?

Hi all,

According to the NVC, my case was forwarded to the London Embassy on March 27th - I was just wondering how long I should wait before contacting them if it doesn't show up? Obviously I understand that there's the shipping time, and for them to generate the necessary paperwork for me...but just wanted to check all the same. Still waiting for my police certificate in any case, so it's not like I'd be ready for an interview soon anyway.

We're in no particular rush, provided we get the visa in the next 6 months...but figured I may as well see how long it took for other people etc

From what I have seen on other people's timeline it seems that it takes approx 2 to 3 weeks for you wife/fiance to get the first Packet

Patience is the key now you are almost there, waiting time for London varies, 3-4 weeks for the package 3, this contains a list of documents you need for the interview, once you have completed the list then they send package 4 which is the actual interview date which could take upto a further 12 weeks.

I think the average for all the Consulates is about 2/3 weeks... Mine got shipped out Feb 14th.. At this point we have Not Received a Packet 3.. So I am most likely going to start righting to my Senator
