Our K1 package is all done and ready, G-325a hand signed and mailed to USA, but now, ouch, I see I only have a scanned signed Fiancee letter of intent.

I see mixed comments: Ok, definitely not ok, copy ok with "fiancee will sign at interview."

Send in and then send hand signed copy to be added to file hoping to circumvent a RFE?

What's the current point of view?

Thanks

Umm are you talking about the I-129F petition?

The G-325A is no longer needed now. It has been incorporated into the new I-129F. Please download the latest forms from USCIS website.

A printed copy of the scanned letter of intent is fine. Submit one for the I-129F. At K-1 stage, a fresh new one is needed dated closer to the interview date.

If the petition has been sent to USCIS, there's nothing you can do until they send you an RFE. You won't be able to circumvent a potential RFE

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

Ouch...the G-325A bio is no longer needed?

Someone really, really needs to edit the K-1 guide....

My I-129f is "expires 8/31/2018 so that appears to be current.  How can the fiancee's G-325A be in the I-129f, she does not sign it,

And what I would humbly suggest in that Visajourney throw away the K-1 Guide!

Flame away but for crying out loud:

"

. G-325A filled out by the US Citizen with their information, signed and dated (see example).

9.

G-325A filled out by the foreign fiance with their information, signed and dated (see example).

That guide is rubbish, it would have been far, far better for me had it not been there!

Please replace it with:

This guide is so outdated that it is misleading and useless, READ the instructions, you're on your own.

So instead of delivering our K-1 to the USPS tomorrow we'll lose several more days trying to figure out what the Guide should NOT be saying.

That is what a guide is--if it isn't remove it, it's not helpful it's harmful.

Not flaming here. There are a lot of people here who have a lot of experience with this. I am not one of them. I have just gotten past NOA1. I agree it should be taken out of the guide, but just follow the instructions and checklist the uscis provides is all I am saying.

Edit: I did not include a "wet signature" on the beneficiary letter of intent because I read the uscis instructions as not requiring that. I could be wrong. You can check the RFE spreadsheet to see how many reported RFEs for not having a wet signature on the letter of intent (i didnt see any)
