Submitted docs but no change in case status

We are applying for my husband's mother to come from Mexico. We did the online application with NVC, paid the fees and all of that was acknowledged.  Then we sent all of the documents almost a month ago but there has been no response that they were received.  I check the CEAC case status and it says that we need to submit our documents.  I got the mail tracking number when we sent the papers, however, I lost it so I have no way to confirm that it was delivered.  How long does it usually take the NVC to change the case status so we know that at least they received the documents?  Thank you!

There's no such status as "documents received". The next status you will see is "At NVC" when your case is complete or almost complete. This may take up to 11 weeks from the scan date (when they received it and put in their system).

Thanks for your reply.  Is there a way to know the scan date?  Or it will just say to submit documents for possibly up to 11 weeks?

Call them and ask, they will tell you your scan date.
