3. What is the point of the comparison? Are you trying to argue that the number of lies are similar? So Trump lies as much as dozens of news outlets and potentially hundreds or thousands of people put together? Doesn't seem to reflect well on Trump

3. The office of President should have a different standard than a media or news outlet.

4. The goals of the two (President vs. news media) are very different. One is to serve the people (President), the other is to make money (News media).

I expect the President to be acting on solid factual evidence when he speaks on a topic. I expect him to act with respect towards all people in the country, as he represents all of us. I expect him to be above personal attacks, no matter how many people personally attack him. His is in a democractically elected position that makes him the representative and leader of all of us.

 

News media are corporate institutions that exist to make money. They are looking for more clicks, more page reads, so that they can make more money from advertisers.

 

It is really very silly to expect similar behaviors from the two.

I actually expect more from the media than the president, any president. I think at this point expecting the president or any other politician to be honest with us, while noble, is quite naive. We've learned they simply don't, none of them. On the other hand, the media has one job and one job only and that is to report, truthfully, what is going on.

- Trayvon was just a child

- Zimmerman was an evil white guy who should be in jail despite no evidence he committed any crime

- Michael Brown was a gentle giant #handsupdontshoot

- Conspiracies are all the proof I need

- Video of people admitting things is not proof

I can't confirm or deny - it's  james o keefe we're talking about here. he's infamous for doctoring recordings. i haven't even watched it, waste of time.

 

what i want is for the president to stop his compulsive lying. in the one example you've given in the cnn report, people lost their jobs and a retraction was given. that's how it works in the media when something is reported incorrectly. unfortunately we have no such recourse with the president.

all of these examples are missing context.

 

-trayvon was a child. he wasn't of legal age when he died.

-zimmerman needlessly robbed a family of their child. he killed a kid because he was scared and had a gun. typical.

-michael brown was known by his family and friends as a gentle giant. just because you don't agree doesn't negate his family and friend's experiences with him.

-pizza gate was not a liberal thing. alex jones/infowars does not cater to the left. not sure why you put that one in there.

-james o keefe manipulates his video footage to fit his agenda. what does it matter what someone on cnn said about anything anyway, they're fake news.
