Need help on I-864!!

Hi,

Don't know if anyone else has had trouble like I'm having filling out the I-864 Section 5 (Household size).  I am filing for my husband.  Therefore in section 5 part 1, its prefilled to 1. Part 2 (persons not sponsored in this affidavit) is also prefilled with the number 1.  However question 3 asked if you are married indicate (1).  If i do that then it calculates my household as 3.  But it states at the top don't count any person twice.  Im not sure what i should do,  can anyone help!?!?

How many people in total? Do you have children or other family in your household?

 

Part 5 question 3 is "0". You are sponsoring your husband. You would answer yes if it was someone else other than your spouse.

When we filled out the 864 we left part 3 empty since your spouse is already counted in part 1.  Part 3 would be used if you were filing the 864 for someone other than your spouse, so your spouse is counted if you were still married.
