How long does its take to get your  I-130 approved ?

it depends on a lot of factors. Whether you are filing for someone who is abroad in order to get a visa, or whether the person is already in the usa. it also depends whether it is a spouse, parent or child (which is faster) or whether its a sibling which takes more time. It also depends on whether the person filing is a citizen or resident permit holder. Cititzens' petition goes faster than those of resident. To have an idea of how much time it takes, go to the uscis website and check the statistics there. However, they usually just quote the processing time in general, but all these factors count and its dificult to say exactly. That's my own opinion though. others can correct me where i am wrong or add more information to what i just said.

I am getting so impatient, they are taking too long to give interviews now. Has anyone tried to raise an SR.

Have you raised an SR I have read that several people with Oct PD's already got their interview this or they are getting it.

I called USCIS and the lady who picked the call said, I should only raise SR after 11 months of my PD because the processing time is 6 months and dallas office is overwhelmed and therefore 5 months behind. October PD will therefore benefit more from SR after sept. I also heard that sometimes,  the tier one officer who answer calls at uscis don't give reliable information. So, if you want to do an SR, go ahead. What do u have to loose?

Hi, I filed AOS from B2 in Texas and my priority date is Nov 29th, 2016. My case is stock on "ready to be schedule for interview" for more than 3 months now. I have called USCIS twice and the respond is thesame: Dallas office is overwhelmed by a huge number of cases and currently 5 months behind. So, I am creating this forum for all Dallas Texas AOS filers with priority dates from October to December 2016, so that we can keep track of our case progress and console each other through this long complicated process

If you have already inteeviewed since June. Why don't you call uscis to ask about update on ur interview? It's already been more than a month after your interview and you are suppose to have an update by now.

They told us 4-6 weeks and on the document that they gave us at the interview says please allow no less than 120 days before making a status inquiry on your case
