I-130 - Physical Address Date To Auto populates as PRESENT

Hello Everyone,

I am filing a relative petition and in 1-130 my mailing address is same as physical address. According to instructions, I have to put the previous address in the next section - Physical address 1. When I do that the "Date To" field populates as "PRESENT" by default. It does not change no matter what checkbox options I use in that section or the mailing address section.

This is incorrect as the address in Physical address 1 is my previous address. The mailing address is the current address and I think filling in the mailing/current address in Physical address 1 section would go against the instructions which state: " Provide current address first if it is different from mailing address in Item Numbers 10.a. - 10.i."

Shall I just enter - " Please see attachment"  in these sections and put all the addresses in an additional sheet containing the residential address and employment history?

Please let me know what I should do.

Thanks,

Zakir

You would not put your previous address in physical address 1...that should go in physical address 2, 3 and so on. I'm not sure if it's correct, but instead of leaving physical address 1 blank, I put "same as 10.a - 10.i".

Thanks for the response truelove29.

As of now I have filled in the mailing address in the Physical Address 1 field as well. This way the auto populated Date To  - "PRESENT" would not be incorrect. Physical address 2 is filled by my previous address and the remaining addresses are in an extra sheet titled "Addendum to I-130" which I'll attach to my 1-130.

Do you think that is okay?

You should use the last page of the I-130, Part 9 for additional information to add the rest of the addresses.

I used up all the space in Part 9 and attached an extra sheet with the remaining information. I have a long employment history and have moved quite a bit. This along with the long addresses in my part of the world ensured that I ran out of space quickly!
