Don't worry about your English, you are doing fine and this is an immigration

site for crying out loud so why critisize ? Thanks to Capt. Ewok for correcting the

threat/thread thing.

I agree it gives peace of mind to those who have a certain month thread

and who can share information. For those who are at another level by now and

have forgotten that stage just don't click on the "month filers" threads.

I just wish I had a Dakar AP thread to find comfort in -_-

latelyi find new threats opened in here which its so helpfull for alot of people for there process, which also that is what visa journey for, but i find alot of people attacking them

threats is like

march fillers

february fillers

RFE fillers

CSC transfer

but really all that help people alot, and its somthing to make them sometimes not to worry or worry about there processs

its better than doing nothing

or in certian threatsin visajourney they didnt find anything like that to do girls there formed something called MEan Girls, just attacking people and fighting all time long

so please, for people that find a certian threat dont enter, u dont have to go nd say its silly to open that, cuz u will find someone else with the same worry, writing about his case too and ignoring ur answer cuz people still worried about there process

please be understanding

Mean Girls Rock!

Michael, work on your English. Reading your posts always gives me a headache.

its aright guys, its just something that u worry about, and u find people that finshed there process that dont wanna hear about that, or they have someone taking care of there papers, so they dont worry, and after all sorry about my english

This is exactly the reason many foreign SO are too intimidated to post here. Critisizing their

English is getting on my last nerve ! They do the best they can at the given time and I am sure their

English will improve. This is NOT an English 101 site but a diverse immigration site so please

exercise curtesy, respect and patience instead of arrogance. ;)

You are correct. Many of the thread (e.i. March Filer, April Filer, CSC Tranfers) are very informative and helpful. In my opinion, some people have attached them (particularly the congrats threads) because they are frustrated over their own particular cases, which is completely understandable. I know there was a time that I found myself in a very uncomfortable place dealing with the stress of the visa part of the process. As far as the mean girls part, well, that's something that we'll just have to tolerate, overlook, and forgive. My recommendation is to take what you can use from what they write and ignore the rest, but please, please, please do NOT argue with them. It's not worth it and you may feel worse later thinking about what you should not have written. Plus, some of those folks are really great people that have not found an outlet for their frustrations.

Cheers!!!

I agree except for the bit in red. It's not understandable that certain posters here need to bag on others or attack the merits of certain threads just because they're frustrated. This is real life...people need to learn how to suck it up and be an adult. Sometimes that's not easy, but eh in civilized society, people should learn to keep envy in check

I'm pretty sure that Michael means that it is completely understandable that people are frustrated over their own cases. Not that it is understandable that that's why they attack in those threads.

Also, it's not envy. It's heartache, and you cannot choose how to feel. We're civilians, not marines.

When Mark and I were caught up in the delays last year (144 days to approve our non-IMBRA petition throuugh CSC) and having to watch folks getting approved in a matter of weeks, someone [can't remember who-so many ppl were upset at the time] voiced an opinion on the K-1 forum about fast processing vs slow processing and so many approval notices from VSC and was told to " stop complaining and be happy for those approved quickly"....Times/attitudes have clearly changed.

Now all of a sudden the approval threads are a problem?

IK HOU VAN JOU, MARK

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

No one's saying you can choose how you feel, but one can certainly choose how one acts. And I think if ANYONE knows the heartache, it's the folks here....not one of us has a copyright on 'heartache' no matter how long you're apart.

FWIW, D & I have been engaged now 1.5 years, haven't seen each other in almost a year, been together for over 7 and we've JUST started the process. I have not b!tched once about our delays because that's our situation for us to deal with. I have not felt bad reading other people's good news...one thing has nowt to do with the other.

Frustration might be common, but infringing on others' happiness because one cannot see past onesself should not be

Well attacking people in those threads is something that neither I or Tracy did. In fact, it was so heartbreaking, (and annoying), that we stayed away from VJ altogether. It was the only way to deal with it. I wish I was machine-like, like you. To say one thing has nothing to do with the other is, in my case, not true. Comparisons are always going to be a part of VJ so long as we all make such a point of updating timelines and posting them in signatures. It is unavoidable. So, in our case we stayed away completely. Tracy has a lot of friends here and she had to avoid them because she was avoiding the board and hearing of people YeeHaaa ing about how they got their NOA2 in 8 days, or complaining that they had waited 2 whole weeks and heard nothing was killing us both emotionally. Like I said it would be easy if we were automatons and had the higher level of discipline that you possess. We are all different and some handle things better than others.

Like I said it would be easy if we were automatons and had the higher level of discipline that you possess. We are all different and some handle things better than others.

First of all, I never claimed either you or Tracy attacked anyone...I know you didn't say I did, but I want to make that clear.

Secondly, it has nothing to do with being 'machine like'...it's about realizing what one can and one can't control. What would flipping out do? Would it somehow move the petition forward quicker? No it wouldn't. So wadr, while feeling bad & frustrated about other people's cases moving on quicker than others, your being 'killed emotionally' by others' good fortune is really your problem and shouldn't be a 'lets move all the congrats to a different forum because it's too hard to see them' problem. I'm not trying to rehash old news here, but since you brought it up, I feel compelled to respond.

But this new transition on VJ is not about you and Tracy; nor am I making it out to be. The emotional 'torment' you feel is the same everyone on this board feels....you should thank your lucky stars that your case sailed by as quickly as it did...have a look around at some timelines and you can see some seriously ridiculous separations which makes yours look like nothing. It only proves that while everyone of us here has our own 'cross' to bear...how we each cope is obviously different.....so since you understand coping mechanisms, I'm sure you'll agree then that if someone gets comfort from a 'March filers!' thread, then who is anyone to say whether it is with or without merit???? Which actually was the point of this thread.

As far as me being 'machinelike' I can assure you it is quite the contrary. But I suppose in my instance, while I see this separation as completely #######, I am quite thankful for what I have. I have the love of a man whom I love and respect more than anything. What we share is so much stronger than everything, I wake up feeling joy just for the sake that we were blessed enough to find each other! While it completely sucks that he is in England, I comfort myself that he's not fighting in Iraq & he is healthy and safe. To me, torment is watching a loved one fight a futile fight for life. Essentially, my mantra is 'no one's shooting at us'. After being told I would prolly die or most certainly be paralyzed from the neck down...and having neither happen...I've learned a very important lesson about perspective and seeing the bigger picture. So no, not 'machinelike' at all.

Hope Tracy's flight was good!
