Is anyone in here fielding office is Montgomery, AL Field Office? After I field N-400 form, I always thought my local field office is Atlanta, GA because I live in GA. However, when I checked my status, I just realised that my field office is Montgomery, AL.

I searched about it, and it turned out that the AL field office is very new which opened in Jan 2017. I'm just wondering if the new office will kind of slow down the process. The office is so new that I can't choose this office to check the process time in the USCIS site. (I can't even update my local office in VisaJourney because there is no Montgomery, AL I can choose)

So, has anyone done fingerprint or interview in the new AL field office.

I think any case filed before the new AL office opened, which is Jan 2017, will be back to ATL office. There is no timeline in Montgomery, AL Field Office in here even on the USCIS website.

Last time when I did my green card, I did my fingerprint in Jacksonville, FL and interview in ATL.

Hi, any updates on N400 processing times for Montgomery?

I called USCIS today inquiring how to find out about processing times for Montgomery and was told that we need to be looking at Atlanta Field Office processing times. Once a spot becomes available in Montgomery that Atlanta actually schedules the interviews etc. I took that with a grain of salt because the last time I spoke with a level 2 officer he told me customer service agents are contracted agents that have no useful info and to call and ask for level 2 if you needed information.

That is interesting as they are two different locations. And, Montgomery's office is not as busy as Atlanta.

Hello, I am in Terrell County and I filed online in October.  I had biometrics done November 21st.  According to my online account, it is telling me that my expected processing time is 5 months.  I shall take that with a huge pinch of salt judging by the duration that you and Darshumeh have been waiting.  Will be following your progress so I can get a better idea of how long the processing time really is!    Wishing you all the very best and hoping that you don't have too much longer to wait!

oh my goodness.  That's a long time to be waiting.  Atlanta has always been very slow.  I was hoping that Montgomery might be a little better but obviously not.   well based on your priority date I am in for a very long wait!  Thank you.
