I got a mail with the above name USCIS customer mistakenly sent to my house. It's for her I-485 AOS. Anyone with useful information should be leave a message here.

I thought about resending it to USCIS but I am afraid it might get lost again.

Thanks

Is the address right?

Send the mail back as the name may not be the only thing that is wrong with the letter. You do not know what they put inside the envelope, it can be addressed to one person and the papers inside can be of someone else.

You are right, I will do so. I was just thinking they might misplace it, so I can just send it to the person directly. But your point is valid. Mail it out after work today.

Sorry I edited my post but not before you read it. Was the address your address or is that the address wrong too? If you think it is her address and you can drop it off, do that.

It was sent to my address, I also received mail from USCIS same day. Both letters were addressed to me with her name different. I don't know if it was sent from the field office or NBC. That makes resending it then a lil a challenge. Also did a tried to reach out to that name online, but never got a response back either.

If USCIS sends an RFE or other important doc by mail, they determine that it was received by the addressee if it has not been returned by the post office. This can be important later. For example, they might consider an application abandoned if they don't receive a reply (to an RFE that was never delivered) and can then deny the application.

i realize that the OP will return it now, but just wanted this important point attached to this thread.

Mr. Greg, my point exactly. I was trying to see if I can reach out directly to the name on the mail instead of the whole process of sending it back to USCIS. You think I should send it to the Local Field office?

As Ontarkie says, mark the envelope with something like"return to sender,  no such person at this address" and that returned letter will be registered with the case and could be beneficial to the original applicant who has either mistyped their address or has moved and failed to update their address on file.
