I had been worried all night too. But I confirmed with the consular, NVC and my husband went to the local PSK and they said as of a month ago they don't stamp the passport.

Even I was planning to visit the PSK on next week for same... This is the best way to get confirmation... Thanks Again... :)

Question about medical (records not handed to the applicant) -- has anyone here had an interview scheduled, went there and found out that the medical records were not delivered by the Dr or lost by the Embassy? Or maybe someone with expired medicals can chime in too!

 

My worry is, we will go to the interview and have this happen to us! What then, will the EMbassy reschedule the interview or will they conduct it and then wait for the medical records to be found etc.?

 

I cannot stay beyond our interview date as I have to return to the States. Stressing out a bit -- about all this unknown stuff that can creep up on us...:blink:

Why weren't the medical records handed to you? I am wondering if you can email the embassy and check in advance if the medical records were received.

My birth certificate is laminated. Though it's in the format NVC/USCIS or Embassy need as the copy of the same was sent with I130 as well as to NVC and accepted.

 

Now my question is, will the embassy accept the laminated ORIGINAL birth certificate or not? If anyone who has been through this situation can answer please..

Birth Certificate with I-130 ? are you here talking about USC/petitioner ? as a beneficiary I have not submitted BC with I-130.  and My BC is also laminated lets see if nay one from VJ community can help here.. bt I dont think this should be any issue...

@KaurN -- this is a hypothetical question. There are instances where the medical records are not given to the individual. "After your exam, the doctor will either send the exam results directly to the embassy - OR - give you a sealed envelope.  If the doctor gives you an envelope, do not open it."

 

If my husband is not given the medical results and on the interview day we go there and they do not have the results (lost etc.) -- will we need reschedule the interview?

@NihalV I am talking about the beneficiary. Me. My birth certificate is laminated. You know how indian parents keep all documents protected by laminating them. Now i am little worried about it.

 

I tried to find out answer for it but people have different views and i am not satisfied with their difference of opinion. I really need help here.

See I am not sure if you would have to reschedule the interview or not. But there is an email box support-india@ustraveldocs.com that you can send an email to with your case number in the subject and ask if your medical was received or not and also ask if what the process would be if it is not received in time for the interview. They respond in less than 24 hours and the responses are extremely helpful.
