I am in process to get the duplicate copy of Birth Certificate from my birthplace Panchayat office with corrected name that is too in English   Hope I get it soon...!

Translation and notarized in English.

 

 

 

 

If your name in passport is different from the Name in birthplace. you must have Gazetted (Registered the name change).

Love seeing what's going on here!! You guys are going to help so many people from India with your posts!! Great job!! @PP_2016 !!!!    Maybe creating a google spreadsheet doc would be helpful? Imagine a spreadsheet with multiple tabs showing the various examples and contact info on how to order the various forms/documents? You can make it view only so that nobody deletes them.. i know you're busy with your hubby in town.. But just a thought.

Got my PCC on 28th..

 

Sharing that as well as below. and PSK issued me 2 copy of PCC.  (I see there are some checklist because of the PCC document .. )

I am preparing similar kind of workbook with detail of full CR1 process.. but I am learning manythings now. so will be able to publish after I submit AOS and IV Package... I am waiting for the Case to be generated in system. NVC received it on 21st june but yet not updated in system

Yeah, there are so many steps, so a google sheet, doc or folder could be a great solution for you..

3/29/2017	i130 approved
4/5/2017	USCIS mailed to NVC
4/11/2017	NVC assigned case number (called NVC to find this out)
4/12/2017	Filled out the ds-261
4/14/2017	PAID AOS fee
4/18/2017	- Received Welcome Letter (via email) - Called NVC to approve DS261 - Paid IV fee
4/19/2017	Mailed out Supporting documents
4/24/2017	USPS Tracking confirmed that NVC received documents
4/25/2017	NVC confirmed receipt, scan date
4/26/2017	submitted the 260 - 11 weeks starts today
6/20/2017	CEAC status changed to "AT NVC" Confirmed CC on the phone
6/22/2017	Received CKLST COVER LETTER
6/27/2017	Received CC letter
6/28/2017	Called NVC, Interview date received - Aug 2, 10am
6/29/2017	Reserved Medical Appointment
6/30/2017	Received Interview Confirmation Letter

Because my husband is a US citizen by birth, he had to obtain a NOC (no objection certificate) from the US embassy in New Delhi last year. It's a mandatory document to get your marriage legalised in Delhi. Without that no marriage of an Indian with foreign resident is registered. The NOC states that my husband was never married previously. So, I have kept a copy of the NOC issued. As Just in case documents..😚

Yes this is exactly what I got from Delhi passport office. 2 copies.
