Well im in brazil trying to get proper passport style photos taken of me and my fiancee and the photographer just doesnt get the proper size. Weve tried twice to get him to take a photo that is 2´´ by 2´´ with the face in the middle and it never is right. what is the metric conversion? what do you do in a country that doesnt have inches? ho

I made my own US Size photos with a digital camera, photoshop and a photo printer. They were accepted by USA and The London Embassy...

0.8 mm is less than 1/32 of a inch. If they want to get the micrometers out they can go ahead. But they're not going to reject a photograph for a dimension that is less than 1/32 of an inch.

Those who could detect that small a discrepancy would be likely working as jewellers, rather than for USCIS or as CO's.

I took my passport pictures in Brazil. They were 5 x 5 cm and were accepted without problems by USCIS. Although at the consulate, for the interview, they were very strict in relation to the photo, but it was not related to the size (I could use 5x5 cm or 5x7cm - the standard brazilian size for passport photos). While at the consulate, before my interview, they made me go out and take another photo because my ears should be completely visible. I was not the only one that was told to bring another picture that day. I remember at least 3 more fiancées that had their photos rejected day.
