Hi everyone! I searched around and the only lists of needed vaccines for the K-1 I could find were pretty old. Could someone please confirm if this is the correct up-to-date list?

  • Mumps
  • Measles
  • Rubella
  • Polio
  • Tetanus and diphtheria toxoids
  • Pertussis
  • Haemophilus influenzae type B (HIB)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Pneumococcal
  • Influenza
  • Rotavirus
  • Hepatitis A and Meningococcal

Also, I'd greatly appreciate if someone could point out if there are any differences between the general list and what is required in Buenos Aires (Argentina) if there is such a thing.

We haven't received our NOA2 yet but we'll be spending some months elsewhere while we wait, and when I (the foreign fiancee) come back to BA for the medical, interview, etc etc before finally going to the US, I won't have any medical insurance. So, I'd rather take all the shots now before flying and be done with it.

Thank you!! :)

That's the full list but the number or types of shots that you need depends on your vaccination history as well as your age. You can call the panel clinic to ask what you'll need for your age.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

Each US embassy/consulate has a certain appointed clinics to carry out the medical for US immigration purpose. You can only get your K-1 medical done at an appointed clinic. You'll need to find out which clinic they use in BA :)

Thanks for the help guys! I updated the embassy info page but I'm posting this here for quick access in case anyone stumbles upon this thread looking for the same info:

I just called Dra. Laura Grillo (she didn't reply to my email for a couple weeks), this is the info she gave me.

mandatory vaccines (spanish):

  • triple bacteriana celular
  • triple viral
  • varicela
  • antigripal

prices:

  • revisacion medica = $900 pesos
  • radiografia + analisis sangre = $330 pesos
  • analisis orina = $2600 pesos

prices do change quickly though, remember this info is from JULY 2017.

cheers!
