How long is wait time to get an Interview date?

Hello everyone 

if you guys can help me with my K1 visa please, our case have been forwarded to Abu Dhabi embassy on may 12 and the status of the case is READY, and says if you have already made an appointment or wait till you receive the appointment date and instructions to make an appointment, and mean while i have filed the DS-160 also, and nothing so far , its been about 45 days that they have the case and it says ready but we havnt receive any email or any thing, please let me know if i should creat my account user name and pay for the fees or should we wait more to get an email for this process, thank you so much guys

hi - this seems to be the case with K1 in Abu Dhabi recently. i know of a 2 other people whose cases have been ready since june 6 but they have not received their packet 3 yet too. packet 3 as far as i am aware is sent to the petitioner. has your petitioner not received anything yet? maybe its in his / her junk /spam folder? also have you called the embassy?

 

i would recommend to wait more just to be sure that the instructions and list of documents they need haven't changed.

thank you for your reply yes this is an K1 in Abu Dhabi,  unfortunately we have not received any email regards to that and I wanted to know if we should create and name in appointment page and get an appointment our self, we have already filed the DS-160 also if iam not mistaking, should we register on the appointment page our self and pay for the fees and choose an appointment or should we wait till we receive something in the email first.

i honestly do not know what the best course of action is. some people say to wait for the packet 3 while some others say to just go ahead and schedule. so i am confused too.

 

my case just changed to "Ready" today so I also have this problem now. what to do?!

I have actually called one lawyer and they said to go head and make your appointment but the same time i called another lawyer and they said that the person who told you that dont know absolutely nothing and i should wait untill i get my interview confirmation letter in the email and it might takes longer then usuall, so iam very confused my slef and its been 47 days that my case says ready but nothing so far, and he said if it passed 3 months you can start worrying, i have called uscis several times and also the embassy in Abu Dhabi and they said wait untill you get your instructions email to what to do next. Please let me know if you have something else that i need to know, thanks

yeah, that is so confusing. do you know that the noa2 has an expiration date? it's only valid for 4 months from the approval date. they can of course extend the validity but still. check and see  when your expiration date it and if it is near then i suggest you call the embassy again and tell them its expiring soon but that you are still waiting for the packet 3. maybe that will help nudge them to do something.
