This is too inform those who have friends, family, spouses, etc. in Morocco. There was another suicide bombing in Casablanca, Morocco Today - I can not give you news sites as of yet, because it has just happened. Please be warned and warn your loved ones about this - THIS TIME THE ACTUAL TARGET WAS THE US CONSULATE AND THE US CULTURAL CENTER! Thank God that no one was injured or killed only the two bombers - but it is also a Saturday, so there is not much avtivity in that area on Saturday. Aljazeera News is saying that the terrorists were making a point to authority figures that they can and will get to areas that are even highly protected. I will provide more news as it becomes available. I am sure that this will cause more problems now at the consulate and delays in their services there.

Update - here is the news just in on Aljazeera News network. Will continue to post more news as I can get it. I am sure that because the targets this time were of US nature, that you will see a lot of news in the sates on this matter. I tell you though, being here in the midst of all of this is making me very uneasy! God be with us all in this!

I do too. I just go off the phone with my husband. He works at a "U.S." site, alhumdulillah, its not in casa. He already works 12 hours a day and was supposed to be off at 7 am and didnt get of until 2 for "xtra" security measures. Im thinking hes playing football and going to the Hamaam like he does every saturday......... It scares me and of course he told me not to worry. Like I won't?

I'll be home on monday. I just wish he was coming with me.

This is awful news. I am glad my fiance will be out of Morocco very soon. I am still very very concerned about his family. I hope that the King can out a stop to this madness and soon. Innocent people do not need to be killed over nonsense.

I hope that the King can out a stop to this madness and soon.

Unfortunately the King is too busy making PR appearances and living his highlife. He is not his father. This is a good thing for Morocco, but with this kind of political situation not a good thing for Morocco.

Try not to worry too much Jen. The US consulate is one of the safeest places to be despite this bombing attempt. It has been fortified for years now, hard to get close. even the sidewalk has been closed. Now with today's news it is even on even higher alert. They may stop doing some business, but they wil lstill be working. I hope it doesnt snag the interview process. Of course getting in for the interview will be even stricter than before, be sure he has plenty of time to clear security.

does he live in Casa?

Jenn- did your brother in law get to have his interview for the tourist visa? or was it postponed?

Please let him know we are all paying for his safety! I'm sure you already told him to stay away from the tourist places! :P
