Yeah I know he didn't have it easy.  But last I checked both parties hated Reagan when he was elected and he was still able to build consensus.   Bill Clinton worked with Gingrich.  Obama had Boehner...   who was basically a democrat.    

 

Obama had a chance to be an amazing leader but he just lacked the killer instinct.  It's almost like he was too measured.     Like him or hate him trump will say what's on his mind.   He and reagan share that trait.    Even if it costs them at times.

One of the worries I have is that the EOs are specific enough and it is something I was discussing with my husband tonight.  Based on the previous EOs lack of clarity, I think we can assume this will have the same issue.  In our case and the case of many immigrants in MN, for example, is that we pay a monthly fee to the state of MN in return for health insurance that is partially subsidized.  Other immigrants in this country receive tax subsidies for their insurance.  I worry that a lack of specificity in a new EO could be used to target us or them.  

 

I don't care about protests in Europe, immigration is creating its own issues there.  They have no right to judge our domestic decisions on those things.

 

 

The protests mean nothing.   

 

Just leftists and globalists trying to make anyone who wants tighter borders seem like an extremist.    Look at how the anti brexit people are behaving in Europe.    

 

And calling Brannon a white nationalist is just more identity politics which cost the democrats the election... along with the immigration issue.    People are just tired of being labeled a racist, sexist, islamophobic, xenophobic, or any other negative label.   It's all lost it's meaning now.  Which is why Trump is basically bulletproof ATM.

Well, yes they have a right to protest and the administration has a right to ignore it just as our administrations have voiced their
perspectives loud and clear in word and action over the years.
I will let you do the googling on what ideas this man represents and the major Breitbart headlines, neither he nor Miller should draft anything
to do with immigration policy.

All countrys absolutely have the right to judge other countrys on there desitions. all countrys do that all the time mostly ecctually the US does that, they not only judge other countrys on tehre behavior they fight wars to make canges to it, as it should be, adressing injustice and fightinbg for what is right, it is up to us as a human race to protect human rights.

I looked into him a while ago before the election and I don't believe the label is justified with any proof.

Countries are based on the concept of sovereignty.  Allowing other countries to dictate their immigration policies is in direct contradiction to sovereignty and one of the big issues with the EU and what pushed Brexit into being.

Study Bannon  and you will see a lot of anti antisemitism and he also physically abused his ex wife.
I am as baffled to see him as Trump's security advisor and drafting immigration issues. He is a nationalist and is not in favor of

immigrants. He is proud to describe himself as a villain, whatever that means we will discover day by day.

The difference.. Reagan\Clinton weren't african americans. The nation suddenly became hyper-polarized after 2009.

A few comments during a custody trial does not an anti-semite make.    I don't have any issue with him at the moment and I didn't vote for Trump either.  I too believe we need a massive immigration overhaul.

The thing is that it is not just about an immegration policy, its  the start of singeling out a group of poeple, a scape goat and it does not stop with some extra vetting. It is dangerous line off events, and group hatered against another religion ( even though it is up for debate if it is about religion) just for the risk that it is i think that europe has experienced a simmilar line of events with the yews. And we are still all humans just like then,  the road to hell is full of good intentions, and there is nothing wrong with poeple looking out not to make the same mistakes. and that is a global matter.

I studied him also and disagree with you, I found plenty of proof. He calls himself a nationalist though not a white nationalist. He is definitely
antisemitic.
The flavor of the alt right against globalism. Both are extremes, we live in a increasingly global world and have to be able to function
as a sovereign nation in a global environment. Walling yourself in is not going to work. Protesters aren't dictating immigration policies, the world is reminding America of human decency as it should.

Bannon the alt right blogger is dictating policies. God knows there are already stains in our history we don't need more.

Yes, the republicans wanted nothing more than to obstruct, obstruct, obstruct president Obama from day 1.
That is a fact, it all became very polarized. Obstruct and blame Obama was the name of the game.
