If it is unjustified for some reason to get benefits, that should be unjustified for all, and that reason has nothing to do with beeing an immegrant or not.

It has to do with the person and his motives as an indevidual.

Sounds good and all, but fear of immigrants is the flavor of the day. And it plays right into trump's base of support. With fear being trump's currency, immigrants are likely to get the shaft in the near term.

you are right and that is what scares me so much, poeple are only looking at what they lose, they dont want to give up a 100 dollars a month that they can mindlessly use to buy starbucks cofffy 5 times a week. and dont realize when there talking about these 100 dollars going to taxes that that goes to immegrants and citesens that have to watch every penny to have enough food for there children.

And ofcourse there is always that story off the person getting "lucky" smoking and drnking on a couch with someone ellses mony but these are the exeptions, most people including immegrants dont want to live that way.

Im sure you were equally railing when donald tried to de-legitimize the ex prez the past 5 yrs? I mean, gotta be fair to all sides, right?

Most fair minded Americans have zero tolerance for illegal immigration. And equally zero tolerance for tax evaders, civil rights violaters, etc.

Obama was a joke for a president.  Easily one of the nations least effective.   Yes he was basically a socialist but his biggest problem is that he just refused or wasn't able to bring anyone together for a common goal.  He had to bribe democrats to barely get Obamacare passed.

When I look at effective presidents I look at ones who were able to bring consensus.   reagan and Clinton both were able to accomplish this .... as was W Bush to a lesser extent.   Although I think he was just an average to poor president

Hard to build consensus when the senate minority leader spoke so eloquently about limiting that presidency to a certain term. Obama had his weak points; but last I checked, he was human. He tried, but many in town didn't let him succeed. Of course I didn't agree with him on everything.

BTW, new EO draft just dropped on WaPo... and boy is it a mess.

I had a look at the new draft and for sure a mess. It fits the white nationalist Bannon's agenda perfectly.
Lets pick and choose immigrants on the Breitbart platform and pretend it is all about jobs.

I don't think there has ever been any proof his is a white nationalist, just name calling.  I think it is akin to saying he is in the KKK without any proof.

One of the worries I have is that the EOs are specific enough and it is something I was discussing with my husband tonight.  Based on the previous EOs lack of clarity, I think we can assume this will have the same issue.  In our case and the case of many immigrants in MN, for example, is that we pay a monthly fee to the state of MN in return for health insurance that is partially subsidized.  Other immigrants in this country receive tax subsidies for their insurance.  I worry that a lack of specificity in a new EO could be used to target us or them.

I don't care about protests in Europe, immigration is creating its own issues there.  They have no right to judge our domestic decisions on those things.
