I completely understand and agree! :) I was just trying to combat a post that was biased towards Obama in favor of Trump.

It is difficult not to get derailed and stray from the core of the topic when extreme right wing opinions excuse the recent chaos

and can not be objective.

I will ignore the comments from a certain poster and hopefully we can stay on topic.
I think this thread is mainly for people asking for help on how it will affect them but it is very hard not to bring politics into this thread

unless it is also meant as a thread to vent in.

I have done the same.  My objective is to get the correct info out there, but it's time for me to just let it go now.

The goal is to get correct info out.   But when the same misdirection and misinformation is being put out about the actual EO then it fails to get the correct info out.

I get it that hat you guys don't like trump.  Whether you like or dislike is irrelevant.   All that matters is what's in the EO.

Which is why there should be zero concern on getting anyone's fiancé/wife/husband into the country:   It's not a perma ban.

It is of concern for greencard holders that are outside off the US on vacation and are not allowed to board a plain to the US, they have jobs and Family they need to get back to and need to be payd for, that does not wait for 90 days.

Yeah I agree that's a concern.   But it just sounds like it's more questions at passport control.

I woild imagine most most of the cases you mentioned above would fall into routine.  Which would move through with just more hassle than normal.   Will it be inconvenient?  Yes ....  will it cost routine people more than a handful of hours.... most likely no.

Now if more cases like you mentioned happen with problems then we have some  reason to question.

They have to applay for a waiver, before they can get on a flight again, and i agree that aditional screening should be able to do in a handfull of hours. The problem with that is and the point were think we can speculate about is if it in fact does take a handfull of hours. Becouse lets be honest a K1 visa, or an ajustment of status, effectifly also only takes a handfull of hours. the problem is waiting for your turn for the hours to start.

For the record I love dems.

And It does take two to tango.   I have tried to stay on the facts and not politicize .... there is a lot of  stretching of what's actually in that EO.

I will agree that the Roll out was terribly planned and orchestrated by the administration.   Was this due to the cabinet being held up?   No idea....  that's reasonable speculation either way.  But the details in the EO was spot on and actually pretty moderate.

Both postions can be right at the same time.   It's wrong to not have given a heads up.   But the policy is well within the powers afforded.

Yeah unforutnately we will find out as time goes on....   if people are just hassled at the border a bit longer than we all just have to deal with it .... the same way we deal with TSA.      If people are being sent home and aren't connected to terrorism or not having their papers in order then we need to adjust.

The EO banns both visa and greencard holders for 90 days, the greencard/ visa holders that have been atmitted have been so because of the judges fighting the EO, an manage to put a TEMPORARY block, on banning visa and greencard holders that is why now a part of them have been attmitted with extra screening, that block however is only temporary and if the EO stands then the bann will extent to greencar holders again.

another good point beeing raised against the EO is from homeland security them selfs and that is that harshly banning countrys like Iraq were american soldiers are stationed works against savety, these soldiers  relay on cooperation and intellegence about terrorism  they get from iraqys ( the same poeple that make use of the refugee visas), now it has become harder to work with them and Us soldiers are left in teh cold.

Including a 4 star general that has been fighting with our military for 13 years was denied entry to visit his family. Incredible stupid EO compulsively drafted by clueless Miller and Bannon without DHS collaboration.
