I WAS WONDERING ABOUT SENDING A CERTIFIED COPY OF MY MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE, SINCE WE MARRIED IN JORDAN, I HAVE AN ORIGINAL MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE AND SO DOES MY HUSBAND. I DONT WANT TO SEND IN OUR ORIGINALS, SO HOW DO WE GET A CERTIFIED COPY OF OUR MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE? DO WE HAVE TO CONTACT THE COURTHOUSE IN JORDAN TO OBTAIN A CERTIFIED COPY? ANY ADVICE WILL BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

Go to a photocopier and make a Xerox. Send it in. You'll be good to go.

WHEN I FILLED OUT THE I130 AND I129F THAT IS ALL WHAT WAS REQUIRED BUT THEN I SEE FOR THE AOS TO SEND CERTIFIED, IT JUST KIND OF WORRIED ME WITH WHY THEY WANT A CERTIFIED COPY. I DONT THINK I WILL EVER UNDERSTAND THIS WHOLE IMMIGRATION PROCESS AND WILL BE RELIEVED WHEN IT'S ALL DONE!!

THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR ANSWERS!!

1. Please take off the caps lock.

2. I-485 says, at the top of page 4, "If you are applying as the spouse....also attach a copy of your marriage certificate and copies of documents showing the legal termination of all other marriages by you and your spouse."

Nothing about a certified copy...
